Chapter 5

I got my phone to see if it still worked and heard a tap on my window, it was Jared. I opened the window. "What are you doing here!?!?" I asked him. "I know you didnt delete the text. And I want to help you get your friend back." He says. "Why I can do this on my own." I say and get lilli which was in her dog bed. "Because I have a car and can really help." He says. "And I just really like seeing you." He says and blushes. "You do know i am 2 years younger than you right??" I ask him raising my eyebrow. "Yeah...but that's what makes you adorable." He says trying to flatter me. "Let's go." I say taking my Pjs which showed my outfit I had on all day and followed Jared to his car. We get to Mark's house which have the lights on. Jared parks his car near the house but not in front of it. "Ok I have to go in alone and so once I get libby out, I will bring her out here. You just have to drive once Libby is in the back." I say. "No I'm not going to leave you here alone." Jared says. "You said you wanted to help and this is how you will help." I say to him and he nods and so after that I head to the door and knock on it. "What?!?!?!" He says and opens the door and sees me and grins an evil grin. "Why hello little prissy." He says. "Cut the Bullcrap give me Libby." I say. "Well you didnt bring what I wanted." He says. I roll my eyes and reach in my pocket and pull out purple lipstick. "Now give her to me!!" I say. "Fine shes upstairs." He says and lets me upstairs. I see Libby in a cage and take the leashes off of her. "Come on girl let's go." I say but mark stops us at the door. "I gave you what you wanted now give me what I want." He says. "No way dumb donkey." I say glaring at him. "Alright then I'll just take it." He says smiling evilily. "No I said no." I say backing up. "Sorry prissy but your the only one here." He says and pushes me into a wall. He grabs my wrists and tries them up on the bar he had on the wall. He grabbed Libya collar and put her back in her cage. "HELP!!!!! SOMEONE ANYONE HELP!!!!!!" I yell hoping he would hear me. "Remember it's no use to scream no one in this town cares." He says, which was what he said to me everyday....which made me loose hope over the years until I got taken back to the orphanage. Tears go down my face, because I was scared out of my mind. "SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!" I yell and then scream as loud as I could. "Shut up!!!" He yells back. "N..no I have friends that will save me..." I say with more tears falling down my face. "Oh well it doesnt seem like they care about you now." He says.

Jared's Pov: I sit in the car waiting for lizzie to come out but she doesn't and it makes me worried. Then all of the sudden I hear her screaming. I panicked and grab my phone and call Ginny and Josh, and Lana. Then I call the police and soon enough they get here and get in position. Lana and Josh and Ginny looked scared and worried.

Lizzie's POV: I keep screaming hoping anyone would help me. Mark got really close to me and put a gag in my mouth. I just start to break scared for my life. When mark left the room to get the rest of his things I struggled to get free. When he came back with his whip he started whipping me. I kept crying when I heard the police say to let me go or they would come in. Which was what they had to do and so mark kept whipping me until the police came in the room and shot him and untied me. I couldn't stand so one of them carried me to the ambulance. Then all I could see was darkness.

Lana POV: I see lizzie being carried by one of the officers and she had many marks on her stomach and legs and arms and I start crying. "I...is she going to be ok???" I ask the emt. "We are going to take her to the hospital and see if we could heal her but she has lost a lot of blood from the man whipping her." He says and helps the officer put lizzie on a stretcher and in the ambulance. I start tearing up when another officer brings out a little beagle kipand brings it my way. "I assume this is your daughter's dog??" He asks. "Uh I dont know." I say trying to think. "Yes that's hers." Jared says. "The text I wanted to show you was from that man...Mark, he was going to kill libby and then come for one of us next until she gave him what he wanted." Jared says. "And it was my idea to try to help her....I...I didnt think she was gonna get hurt." He says with tears in his eyes. "I just wanted to protect her." He adds. Before the ambulance left they allowed me on to stay by Lizzies side.
