J A C E was dressed in his soccer practice uniform. He woke up early to make sure everything was in order for the first day of practice before they had to recruit new members. It was 7:38AM and he walked to Nadine's room. He opened the door gently to see her asleep on her bed. He gently woke her up telling her to get ready.

She listened and walked over to her closet. Jace helped her pick out a nice polka dot dress with dark blue and white dots. He laid it on her bed and left to inform his parents that they would be leaving.

He walked down the stairs and saw his mother and father sitting across from each other not speaking to each other nor even glancing at one another.
Pure silence.

Jace looked over at his parents noticing that they didn't even know he was in their presence.

"Mother. Father." They both looked up towards their son already dressed to go.

"Son, you're up early."

"Yeah. I'm team captain, I kind of have to." Jace's father nodded forgetting that small detail.

"Right. Of course." Donovan Garner was around in his mid forties who still had his dark hair intact but his eyes were loosing that color he once had. Now they're darker and tired from all the late nights at the office. Clients tend to drain all of his energy he once had. Still he looked sharp and always had his hair perfectly done.

"Is there something you need?" Rebecca Garner said as she looked at her tablet for her newest idea she would be directing for her latest movie. She had light auburn hair, cut short but, making sure she had her natural waves. She didn't look an age over thirty. She was always straightforward something Donovan Garner took notice when he first met her.

"Yes of course, I won't keep you for long. Just wanted to say I would be taking NaNa with me." Rebecca Garner looked up at Jace.

"What for?"

"Well she needs to go out more and she ... isn't getting any better so I thought it'd be best if I sought out help."

Rebecca Garner looked up at Jace. Her face was stone cold not a single muscle movement.

"Who are you to do something like this without my permission?"

"I know that Nadine needs help and you guys aren't exactly helping me with that-,"

"You decided to do what you thought was best for my daughter?"

"So now she's your daughter?"

Rebecca glared at her son. She did not like the way he responded.

"Jace Garner you better watch what you say when you talk to me."

"Look I'm not asking for your permission on this, I'm just letting you know." Jace turned around and walked away from the dining room table.
