It only took one video

One video to ruin Marice's night

"Everyone I present to you, Marice Myers..."

A truly Unforgettable night...

Marice returned home that night trying to get some rest, but no amount of cookies or milk could make her brain shut down. She shifted her gaze to the side, where she noticed the outfit Raven and she had chosen.

It looked stunning; it was silver and had a translucent fabric with white flowers on top of it, as well as an open v-neck. It was a touch too open for her taste, but it looked too good to pass up.

That's when she heard her phone ring. The time was one o'clock in the morning. She wasn't going to pick up the phone because it was a random number, but she remembered Raven had called her once before at the police station.

"Please tell me you're not calling me from a prison cell?" Marice answered hoping she was wrong.

"Well, that's one way to answer the phone."

"L-Landen?" Marice was shocked to hear his voice through the phone.

"Yeah who did you think it was?"

"R-Raven."

"I'm actually not surprised." Marice stood up from her bed and sat on the small couch in front of her bed, laughing.

"S-So why did you call me? Did something happen?" Marice was twisting the hem of her dress nervously waiting for his response. She wondered why the sudden phone call if not for an emergency.

"Don't worry I'm not calling because I'm in a prison cell. I'll be very honest. I was planning on reading to you. I actually went out and got some children's books and thought I could help you with your sleeping problem." Landen would only do something like this for his friends, and he can honestly say she's become one of them.

It's usually not an easy thing to do since he's been friends with only two people his whole life. Yet in just days he's come closer to Marice than even with Ian which took him a couple of weeks to even consider him a friend.

Marice was touched by this, she didn't know what to say. She thought he was joking but, he wasn't.

"I'm honestly surprised you were serious." Marice felt a small smile creep on her face.

"Of course I was serious."

"Does that mean you'll sing me a lullaby as well?" Marice joked gaining a laughing Landen on the other end. He had forgotten he had said that as well.

"Yeah, I'm serious about that too, although it'll probably make you more awake than sleepy." Laden was in fact not the best singer and he'll embarrass himself if it's for a friend.
