Thor continued with his hug for Loki, so the other Avengers continued with their conversation.
"How are we going to save her?" Natasha asked.
Tony grabbed hold of a small version of a ship "We'll take this to Jandineim."
"That ship hasn't been used by anyone in years. It may not work properly." Banner informed him.
Tony turned to Banner "Here's a thought. Why doesn't someone check it to see if it's alright to fly? How's that to think about?"
"Even if we get that ship to fly, we still will need to make sure it had a working navigation system, Tony." Banner told him, the common sense sneaking into his tone.
"That's called a GPS, big guy." Tony said to get on Banner's nerves.
He lost his cool for a second when Tony referred to him like this "Do not refer to me as if I were the other guy!"
Nat grabbed his hand "Bruce. Calm down, or we'll be cleaning up the other guy's mess."
Banner settled himself and sat in the corner, away from Tony. Steve looked at Tony "We're forgetting one thing. If the kid knew how to understand what Friday had brought up, he might be able to help us find the Jandineim."
Tony turned to face Steve "Look, Miss America. I believe you...." he pointed to Emmett "....but just because he can read some old alien language, doesn't mean he can navigate space."
Emmett covered his mouth as he snickered when Tony called Steve Miss America. Tony looked at Emmett "Is this arguing amusing to you, kid?"
Emmett bit his lip and shook his head "No, Mr. Stark."
He couldn't help it. He keeled over from his gut hurting from all the laughter. He stopped suddenly when he saw and heard something he didn't want to.
Ella screamed in pain. So much pain. Her head throbbed and she knew Sigyn, her only friend to talk to in this hellhole, was close to death.
Looking up, tiredly, at Norgyn "Please, please, let me go. I don't want to die." she pleaded.
Norgyn grabbed the back of her hair and spat in her face as he said "Well, too bad. You're young and naïve. You'll die in the process. But, one measly life gone will not stop him. Do you think you father will find you? Do you really have that kind of hope?" he let go of her hair, letting Ella drop to her knees "You are a pathetic creature."
Ella lifted her head with difficulty "Someone must've done something horrible to you for you to be like this."
He put his hand on the controls "I am perfectly fine." he pushed on the lever and sent a shockwave through the machine to Ella's headband.
Ella let out a louder, higher, shriller scream.
Emmett came back to the present. He was on the floor, his hands in tight fists and his knuckles white. He could tell the Avengers were surrounding him and he could feel his spinal cord shaking through his entire body.
He stood up and looked around at his father. He opened his mouth and said "I'm scared...."
Loki approached him quickly and wrapped his arms around Emmett.
