I went through the streets.
Hanji had decided to accompany home. I noticed they wouldn't accept a no that's why I accepted smiling. As we were going through the streets I took a closer look at the people. I saw from there people out of wall Maria were and from were the people out of Rose were. My eyes widened by how the situation wasn't about to change in any second. The sight was awful, I already knew about all of this.I felt goosebumps go down my skin. From the corner of my arm to my finger tips. The scary feeling passing me with a niggling effect in my chest. I felt a hand being layed down on my shoulder. I looked beside me to see the brunette with the glasses glanced at me with a worried look. I shook it of my shoulders and tried to not concern them anymore.
"Everything ok?" They asked catching up to me. I bit on my lip, I didn't know what to exactly anwser to them. I let out a sigh before answering anything to them. "Yeah it's just—" I stopped rethinking the sentence.
"I see so many kids and grown ups starving. It's only giving me a sick feeling from not being able to do anything—" I stopped myself. They looked at me with a emphasizing face.
They pursed they're lips before they're face lightened up. "How about if we would actually.. do a—sort of charitable donation?" They suggested. I clapped into my hands with a smile on my face. I was feeling more and more happy. As we moved forward the silent came in.
I tried putting my gratefulness into words. All of it took me some seconds to realize what to say. "That's a amazing idea!" I exclaimed. Looking onto my feet. As we reached my house. I stopped in front of the glassy decorated door. I grabbed the doorknob. Just a second later I loosened the grip, noticing I had forget something.
I ran over to them and kissed them on the cheek. Taking a step back and turning around. With my back facing them I smirked. "Tomorrow your gonna meet my parent~" I opened the door to a small creak and left in them.
—
I opened my eyes slowly, black eyelashes letting it feel blurry. As my mind found full conscious, I shoved my blanket off from my body. My hands supported my body as it put full weight on them. Trying to get up from the sleep not exactly every part of me had got awareness off.
"Good morning wonderful day!" I cheered. While yawning I smiled stretching my arms finally out. My feet touched the ground before getting into a pair of slippers. I shook up my blanket. Afterwards I overlapped it. I opened my closet to take my clothes out.
I changed into them out of my pyjama into the clothes for the day. As I brushed trough my hair I started humming. Moving my body with the melody as my hairbrush wandered through my hair.
I went around in the corridor before I reached the stairs. There were some shelves, the walls decorated with shelves full of books. From old history to actual cooking recipes or own ones. I held my breath as I thought of something. I ran the stairs down, holding on to the railing. While the sound of the echoing hammering footsteps came to my ears.
I saw a shillouette of a figure out of the far. I let go off the railing slow footsteps placing themselves alternately. I narrowed my eyes at them. Suddenly I felt a adrenaline ache going trough me. My body felt as if it was controlled by a lightning.
I opened the door full of energy. Encountering the person I saw in front of me jumping with a hug. The brown eyes widened slightly shocked in surprise. Their soft lips had turned into a smile. Their name escaped out my lips like a beautiful melody. "Hanji!" I smiled at them.
"Let's go to meet your parents!" they exclaimed raising a fist into the air. I felt the determination around them. I grabbed their hand, "let's go for it!" I agreed.
We made our way per feet to the house of my parents. After a while we had reached the small garden that was in front of the house. I knocked gently letting them know someone was there.
The door made a quiet klack. My ears set on their clairaudient state. I focused my eyes on the opening door. A female figure opened with a smile. "Mother!" I exclaimed falling into a hug with her. The warmth of her body was welcoming me with all senses. "Sweetheart.." she whispered, "welcome home!" she hugged me thight whirling me around with a smile.
She looked at me surprised. The look she had on her face as our eyes locked into each others told me that she didn't knew who it was. I pointed at Hanji, "Mother that's Hanji, they are nonbinary, Hanji that's my mother Carola L/n!"
"Hiya! Nice to meet you Y/n's mother I'm hoping we'll get along!" They expressed a smile short after the sentence. My mother gave me a questioned look. It didn't even bothered me in the slightest to anwser.
I went in like almost always my mother showed us the livingroom. How she would do it almost every time with guests. She pointed with her hand to a Sofa followed by a small bow.
I smiled at Hanji who was a bit timid with the thought of being not polite. I rolled my eyes and let a chuckle my lips escape. After I had explained to them that it would be way more rude not to sit down they did what was suggested to them. I put my hands on my thighs turning my body completely to where my mother was about to sit.
She sat herself down on the simple luxurious chair. "So your out of the military?" She started questioning. Hanji nodded eagerly, I noticed their determination for everything that had to do with Titans and science.
Now I started asking myself what my mother would pack out still..
My mother crossed her arms. "And your sure you aren't the partner of my daughter?" she questioned with a raised eyebrow. I started looking intense at Hanji who was still looking at my mother. I broke the glance off after less than 5 seconds. The blood shot them into the cheeks. Crimson tones appearing on their cheeks as far as the eye reached. Different types of emotions replaced their calm from time to time very expressful face.
They shook their hand in front of their chest with a signal. "N-no! I'm not...." they exclaimed nervously. I saw the pain in their eyes that I might only had imagined.
Minutes filled only with silent. The harsh reality brushing against my skin.
"Oh yeah.. what's with father?" I asked slyly.
"He's currently on a merchant tour trough Sina." she explained short to me.
I reached after the paper that was laying on the table. My finger went over ot before I could correct it. I grabbed it and looked into the eyes of my mother. She raised a brow that showed us afterwards a smile. I started telling her about our idea. How we could do something to something against the starving people.
The cruel world that wound let them die slowly in pain. I added that it was a small plus most likely a bonus—that it would be a good way to introduce the buisness of my parents.
