Luke's Suicide Letter to Calum

Dear Calum,

We haven't been friends for very long, but in the time we have been friends, you were a good one. I was thankful to have you and I hate that this is how you'll remember me.

Another lousy kid who couldn't take the pressure of the real world.

I don't know if Ashton has ever told you – but I loved him once. I've loved him always, but I was in love with him at one point. So what I ask of you is to take good care of him. I know a few things from being his best friend for so long, so here goes.

He's grumpy in the mornings, so make him big breakfasts. He likes eggs and toast with vegemite. And, don't forget, orange juice. He loves orange juice. Some nights he will want to stay up until 4AM and talk about life and tell stories and listen to you talk and other nights he will want to go to sleep at 8PM and cuddle.

But he will never stop loving you, at his best or at his worst. I can tell.

Thank you for being there for me. I'm sorry I had to do this.
