Chapter thirteen - Where everything begins

Zayn's POV

"So then he literally came and tackled me down. It was ridiculous. He was like a 2-year-old. Dude, guys are more like kids every day..."

I just stared at her. She was passionate about everything she said; no matter if she was talking about her biggest dream or the coffee she drank in the morning. She loved her life.

"Why are you just weirdly staring at me?" She asked and I smiled.

"Because you're beautiful" I responded.

"Well, that's a used pick-up line. Find another one, Zayno" We laughed. She laughed so perfectly.

"I miss you, Astrid." I confessed.

"I miss you too, Zayn." She half smiled, I could tell she wanted to cry.

"So, tell me something about your day..."  I tried to change the subject.

"Well...she rubbed her hands... I went running in the morning."

"That's interesting, babe, keep going"

"Went to class, hung out with Max, nothing interesting."

"Uh huh" I said and looked at her smile. "Why that big smile of yours?"

"I was just watching One Direction fetus videos. I can't get over the fact of how awkward you were at times. I want to cry sometimes." I think I blushed. Yup, I definitely blushed.

Awkward laugh.

"So how was class?" I asked.

"Um, ok I guess? The teacher was trying to defy me but I got kinda mad and started a debate".

"You're a sweetheart" I laughed and she smiled.

"I wanna see youuuuuu" she said and I nodded.

"Calm, darling. It's only been two days. We'll see each other soon enough".

If this was us not dating I couldn't imagine how it would be when we dated...

"Night Changes" She finally pronounced. "The video is just amazing."

"Strange to say the least" I responded.

"Are you kidding me?" She said "I LOVED the video. I mean, I think that I fell in love with each of you."

"I'm glad" I smiled "But you have to admit that I looked extremely handsome".

"All of you did"

"But I was especially handsome. C'mon, babe, admit it." She blushed.

"You looked 'fit', yeah" She mocked my accent.

I laughed and she smiled.

"You are SO taking me on a dinner like that, Malik. We definitely have to have a 'Night Changes' dinner-date" She finalized and I smiled.

Did she say dinner-date?

Wait...does she want to date me?

Play it cool, Zayn.

"Course I am" I finally mentioned and she smiled widely.

"So how was she?" Liam asked.

"She was stunning, if that's what you want to know. Well, she's always stunningly beautiful." I replied.

"Oh, look who I got here. Lover boy Malik" Lou mocked from behind and I gave him the finger.
