This slope is treacherous

This path is reckless

This slope is treacherous

And I, I, I like it

"EDZO'S" I shouted and Max laughed.

"Okay darling, let's go" He finally responded.

Max and I had been hanging all day. He had come with me to the mall, because I had to buy new shoes. Well, actually I didn't have to, but I wanted to, and Max was always utile as charger.

My Maxi, always so sweet.

Finally, when we got out of the mall, Max had asked where we would eat lunch. I had obviously chosen Edzo's, because they made the best burgers around, and for some reason I was craving burgers.

"How's everything with Zayn?" Max asked as soon as we pulled into Edzo's driveway.

"Really good. We've been talking every day and he's just so perfect"

"Wow" He looked at me "You really look like the heart eyed emoji when you talk about him. It's amazing, how'd you do that?" He joked and I laughed.

"He gets the best of me, I guess" I smiled.

"I'm glad, darling" His tone was mixed with...sadness? "I just want you to know that I'll be here for you, no matter what" He pointed out and I smiled.

"I know, Max. Thank you, I love you so much, big bro!"

"Talking about bros" He parked and got out of the car "How's Chace?" He asked as he opened my door.

"He's doing fairly, I guess. I have barely talked to him in the past time." We got inside the restaurant and chose a booth to sit on.

"Why?" His gaze was seriously concerned. He knew how close I was with Chace.

"The fucking bitch" I motioned and he cracked out.

"He's still playing around?" He asked.

"I don't think that he's the one who's playing around" I rolled my eyes "That bitch is using him so badly and he's just too good to realize and I really want him to open his eyes and move on from her" I explained and Max nodded.

"He should have gotten out of Florida"

"Yes he should've. But he's there now, and he's a conformist, so he'll be happy being top class there, rather than increasing the level"

"He's your opposite" He declared and I realized that it was true. I always wanted more. I was always striving to get better. I didn't conform myself with less.

"That girl is influencing him badly" I blamed it all on her. I was right though.

My brother Chace. Two years my senior, tennis star and golf athlete. Valedictorian of his class, but decided to hit USF instead of going out of the state. He had had this "school sweetheart" since junior year. He was in love, I suppose, but she wasn't. I was aware of the multiple times that she'd cheated on my brother, but the worst part was that Chace wouldn't believe me. He'd say that I was making everything up to get him to break up with her because I disliked her. Well, he knew that I didn't like the bitch of Ashley, for sure, but I wouldn't be stupid to make something like that up.

He never believed me.

Nor his pals.

Nor anyone who told him anything against Ashley.
