Player: Chapter 13

**Beth's POV**
I sat on the table as the doctors walked in with the stitching and other tools. The doctor placed the tray beside me and looked at my cheek.

"Oh. This looks painful. Does it hurt?"

"No. Not a lot." I said.

"Mkay." He said.

"This may sting a little." He said and dabbed a cotton ball with alcohol on it on my cheek. I stiffed my body from the burning pain. He set it down and looked at the tray and grabbed a tool.

I took a glance over at the other doctor. She kept staring at Matt. Matt's face was pale and had fear in his eyes. I frowned. Is he okay?

"Okay. And we're done." He smiled. I smiled back and thanked him.

"Okay. If you could walk with me I'll be happy to sign you out!" He said.

"I got it Beth. You can get dressed." Matt said. He walked out the room as fast as he could. I jumped off the table and started getting dressed. I pulled on my vans and walked out the room.

I met Matt at the counter and listened to the doctor.

"Okay. So. In a bout a few weeks you can take out the stitching. Okay?"

"Am I aloud to do myself or?"

"Yeah! But I prefer to get someone to help as you doing it." He smiles. I looked at Matt.

"Okay. Thank you." I smiled. Matt waved goodbye and walked out the hospital.

When we came home, we didn't get out the car. All we did was talked.

"Do you wanna stay at my house for the night?"

"Sure," I nodded. "But I don't have any clothes." I said.

"I don't think he's home." Matt said looking pass me. I turned around and didn't see Ray's car. I jumped out the car and ran inside to grab clothes. Who knows how long I'll be staying with him.

I ran to my room and grabbed everything that I needed. I threw everything in a bag and grabbed it. I walked down the stairs and met eye contact with Ray.

"R-Ray."

"Beth."

"What are you doing here?"

"I live here."

"Why don't you go back to your girlfriend."

"Beth please don't bring-"

"Is she home? Oh. Hi. I'm Sarah." She walked in and smiled.

"Beth. What are you doing? Where are you going?"

"I'm staying with Matt for a little."

"What? Are you crazy? You can't stay with him."

"I am. I'm not staying here with you or that face!" I said pointing at Sarah.

"Hey that's rude. Ray wants you here and safe."

"I am safe. With Matt."

"Beth you don't know how dangerous he is."

"Shut up! He isn't dangerous!" I shouted.

"He loves me and I love him! He's never hurted me before. Not like you did."

"Beth-"

"I had to go to the hospital and get stitches!" I yelled.

"Ray?" Sarah said looking surprised.

"Whatever. Have fun. I'm leaving." I said and walked past Ray. He grabbed my bag.

"Let me go." I said.

"Your not leaving."

"Let me go!" I said. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.

"Put me down!" I yelled.

"Your not leaving his house. Or this room for sure!" He yelled and places me on the bed. He walked out the room fast and shuts it closed. I heard a locking noise. I got up slowly and walked to the door to open it. He locked it from outside.

"Are you kidding me! Ray open the door!"

"Your not leaving!" Ray yelled. I followed my eyes and say on my bed and pulled out my phone. I texted Matt to let him know what happened.

*8:30PM*
"Ugh! Ray!" Sarah said. Her and Ray were "Getting it On" in the other room. I feel like they could go through the wall or something.

Matt: So what are they doing now?
Beth: You really don't want to know😣
Matt: Oh...😳😯😦
Beth: Yeah..😷
Matt: This could be a perfect time to sneak out since their "busy"
Beth: Have you forgotten? My door is L-O-C-K-E-D?😤
Matt: Window?😏
Beth: I didn't think of that. Lol

I put my phone in my back pocket and opened my window. I dropped my bag on the ground carefully and jumped out the window. I looked up hoping nothing was going on. I picked up my bag and ran off to meet Matt. He was standing on his porch waiting for me.

"Hey." I smiled.

"You good?" He asked.

"I'm great." I laughed. He smiled and took hold of my bag and walked inside. We walked to him room and sat on his bed.

"Are you okay?" Matt asked.

"I'm fine. Just shocked that I snook out." I laughed. Matt shook his head.

"Don't worry. You'll be okay. I felt the same way when I snook off to a party that my mom wouldn't let go to."

"Really?" I laughed.

"Yup."

"What happened?"

"I got grounded." He laughed.

"Nice." I laughed. He smiled.

"I'm gonna go and find something to eat." He smiled.

"Can I come?" I asked.

"Unless you wanna look funny, yeah." He teased. I shook my head and followed him. He walked to the fridge and grabbed peanut butter.

"Peanut butter? What for?"

"I want a pb'n'j." He laughed. I grabbed the bread and let him make the sandwiches. He gave me half of his and we ate.

After out snack, we watched tv.

"I'm actually happy that your here." Matt smiled.

"Same." I smiled. He sat me up and looked at me. He had a blank face. And didn't say anything.

"Matt?" He didn't say anything.

"Matthew?" I laughed and snapped my fingers to get his attention.

"Matthew Lee Espinosa-" He grabbed my face and kissed me. It wasn't just a normal kiss. It was more like a make out session.

"Matt. As much as I want to. But. Something could happen." I said.

"Sorry. I've always wanted to do that." He laughed.

"You don't know how much I've wanted to do that also." I smiled. He kissed me again and laid down. I laid on his chest and watched tv. Soon we fell asleep.
