**Beth's POV**
Game Day 1
The day came for the competition. I was a little nervous. As I got ready, Matt was downstairs doing whatever he's doing. But I know soon he'd call me down.
"Beth! Come here please!" He called.
"Knew it." I laughed. I grabbed my phone and everything I needed ad walked downstairs. I saw him sitting on the couch waiting.
"What's up." I said.
"Glad you asked. So. You know how were blue team. Right?"
"Right."
"Well! I had an idea to let us where blue hoodies! And our team name on the back." He smiled.
"What's the team name?" I asked.
"Glad you asked. We're team Magcon." He smiled.
"Matt."
"What?" He asked.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"What's wrong with it?" He asked.
"Nothing. It's just. It's so perfect!" I squealed. He smiled and kissed my head.
"I'm glad you like it." He said. I smiled. He got up and walked away. I put my hoodie down and thought about the great memories. Great memories.
"Hey. Why looking sad?"
"Nothing. Just a little nervous." I lied.
"Don't be." He smiled. I smiled back and left the house and went to the game.
Once we arrived, I got out and walked with Matt. I looked around and tried finding anyone I know. I saw a sign with people getting hurt. This is too crazy. I stopped and kept looking at the sign.
"Hey. Beth. It's okay. I won't let anything happen to you."
"I don't know about this Matt. It seems dangerous."
"Look at me. I promise nothing bad will happen to you." He smiled. I nodded my head and grabbed his hand. We walked inside and analyzed the big building.
"Wow." I thought. We walked to our places and waited.
"Alright players. Get ready." The operator said. We got ready and got into position.
"Don't let me fall." I told Matt.
"Never." He said. The point of the game is your partner has to be on your back and not fall. You fall, keep going. But you'll be in last.
"No way." I turned around and saw Felix and Abby. I jumped off of Matt's back and stared at them.
"What do you want O' Neil?" I said.
"Came here to compete." He smiled.
"You? And her? Ha! That's funny." I said.
"So Espinosa. Where's your partner?" He asked.
"In front of you." Matt said.
Oh. Wow. I thought you'd get one of them gay boys from your group."
"You mean. Used to be in a group. Now. What happened? Your manger used you for money. Is that right? Or was it there was too much drama. No. I'm sure it was because someone's parents died? Oh. I remember. It was Matt's crappy ass friend Mahogany!" Abby said. I balled up my fist.
"Beth. No." Matt said.
"What's wrong? Oh right. It was your fault that she died. She killed herself because you were a crappy friend. Everything is your fault Beth. Just deal with it."
"Beth don't listen to her."
"I just wanted her to be happy."
"You will never be one of us. Because your a bitch! And bitches makes no one ever happy!" She yelled and pushed me back. I was about to jump on her but Matt caught me. But my hand smacked her face.
"You can't hit me!" She yelled.
"Say something about her o dare you!" I shouted.
"Enough! We'll deal with this later." Felix said.
"Yeah. After words." Matt said. I calmed down and let her get in my mind. She's right. Mahogany died because of me.
"Beth. Don't let her get to you."
"She's right. Everything's my fault."
"What? No it isn't. She died because she wasn't okay. She was stressed. She tired keeping MAGCON together, but. We didn't listen. I thought we were threw but she didn't. She didn't give up."
"Then why did she kill herself?"
"She didn't. She slipped on ice and hit her head."
"What?"
"Haven't you know?"
"No. Others told me she killed herself because of me." I said.
"No." Matt said. I looked down.
"Alright racers. Let's go. Line up."
"Don't let it get to you." He said. I nodded my head and we got ready. I jumped on his back and waited for the countdown.
"5...4....3...2...1 GO!" Matt went as fast as he could. I helped on tight hoping he didn't drop me.
"We're first!" He cheered. I laughed and held on tighter.
"Hey!" Felix yelled. I glared at him and hoped Matt went faster.
"Surprise!" Felix yelled. He tried hitting Matt but missed. He was behind now.
"Go Matt go!" I said. He went a little faster. Until we both fell causing Felix and Abby to fall.
"Are you serious?!" I yelled. I got back up to heel Matt but Abby grabbed my leg.
"Let me go!" I barked. She pulled me down and elbowed my thigh over and over again.
"Hey! Stop it! Let her go!" Matt yelled.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!" I yelled. Felix yelled stop and she stopped. They got back on their board and left. I grabbed my leg and rolled away.
"Beth! Beth can you get up?"
"Ugh!" I cried.
"Can she get up?" Someone asked.
"No." Matt said. They picked me up and took me backstage.
"How bad is it?" I asked.
"Pretty bad. You won't walk for a while." The doctor said. I closed my eyes and laid on the table.
"I'm so sorry Beth." Matt said.
"It's okay." I said.
"I promised nothing would happen to you. And something did." He cried.
"It's okay." I said. Matt was really upset. He thinks it's his fault. But it's not.
