Chapter 4

A/n: this chapter has less of the boys from 1D because I'm introducing the new character created by a fan.

This was the last hour of the day, and my absolute favorite ! I had my period where we went to the auditorium for our singing group. This week we were taking open auditions, and I was excited to see all of the new people who wanted to join.

As I sat in an auditorium seat, the first act to audition came up. Maliya looked at me and gave me two thumbs up, we hoped we'd get some real competitors this year.

The first to go was a girl. Her name was Athena and she had long wavy brown hair, and soft snowy skin. She seemed a little timid at first, but when she began to sing it was astonishing.

"It's not a silly little moment, its not the storm before the calm. This is the deep and dying breath of this love we've been working on. Can't seem to hold you like I want to, so I can feel you in my arms. Nobody's gonna come and save you, we pulled to many false alarms. We're going down and you can see it too, my dear, we're slow dancing in a burning room."

Her eyes were shining and she was smiling so big I thought her face would crack, she placed the mic back on the stand she removed it from. It was quiet for a few minutes after she finished, and she began to shift from foot to foot and glance around nervously.

Then the room erupted into applause so loud it hurt my ears. I clapped just as loudly as the rest of them, she thanked our coach and left the stage.

The next audition was the shock of my life. Louis. Tomlinson. Ruining. My . Life.

I couldn't get away from him ! I mean I wasn't exactly avoiding him, but I didn't want to be attached to him as he walked around ignoring my existence.

But I couldn't help but smile when I heard the familiar tune begin to play, he'd always loved this song for as Long as I'd known him.

"If I don't say this now, I will surely break, as in leavin the one I want to take. Forgive the urgency but hurry up and wait, my heart is started to seperate. Oh woah, oh woah be my baby , and ill look after you," he closed his eyes and belted the notes without a second thought. He sang as if it was second nature to him.

The room clapped twice as loud as they did for the first girl when she sang. I refrained from clapping as I stared into space feelin tears welling in my eyes. A dear memory came back to me as I stared down at my hands.

~FLASHBACK~

We were in seventh grade at the time, the last few days left before he would drift off from me forever. Unknowing of what would happen in the future, we were laying in my backyard. It was one of few sunny days that happened in Doncaster, and the grass was soft and green. Pointing and laughing at clouds overhead, we just enjoyed each others presence.

"Sing with me Ali-Bear," I sat up an looked at Louis as he bounced up and down with his legs crossed underneath him.

"What?"

"Sing with my Alice. Come on, you know how to play Look After You on your guitar, and I know you can sing it too," he grabbed my hand and began swinging our arms together," please Al, we never sing together anymore. Just this once, please ?" He looked at me with a hopeful expression and my gaze softened. Sighing I pulled my hand back, and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Go get my guitar," he cheered and dashed inside the house, returning just as quickly with my cherry red guitar.

I began playing the notes to the song an Lou tapped his foot along to the beat, smiling.
