When I woke up, I couldn't remember anything from last night. Everything was just blurry. I remember it snowed, and Maliya and I had a fight. I don't even remember what the fight was about. That frustrated me, because I hate not knowing things. What if I had said something that was totally out of line? What if Maliya never forgave me again? That would be completely unbearable for me.

But I pushed those thoughts aside, and once I did, I felt a surge of hapiness. Today was going to be a good day, and I could tell. Hopping one legged down the stairs after getting dressed, I looked over at the digital clock, and confusion entered my head. How was it Sunday? It was just friday night not too long ago. There was no way it was already Sunday. I remembered everything up until Louis leaving my house after bringing me home from the hospital. After that, nothing was there. I don't even remember what day all of that happened on.

Did it really happen on friday? Now I was questioning everything, how come I didn't know the date? That was the type of stuff I was always on top off. And what about the girls? I don't remember bringing them home from my neighbors.

I walked into the living room, and sat down, rubbing my temples. Why wasn't I sure of anything right now? Surely I hadn't gotten drunk, or got drugged, I wouldn't do something so reckless as to lose my memory. Would I? My frustration disapated though, once I felt the couch cushion sink down next to me. My yougnest sister sat down next to me, her dark chocolate curls pulled back from her face with white clips. Her small hand sat on my knee, and she didn't say a word. That was typical for her though, she's never spoken in her life.

"Hello Raylen," I waited for a response, but never got one, i sighed. "You'll never be able to get through life without speaking. Why wont you talk to me?"  She simply gave me a crooked smile as usual, and shook her head, curls bouncing everywhere. She didn't resemble Darcey, or Amiya in the least, but I never really noticed that. But she always had a mysterious glint in her bright blue eyes.

Raylen motioned to my wrists, and I lifted my hand. Pulling back my sleeve, I noticed the red cuts. I ran a finger over them, and felt nothing, they were already healing over. I took that as a good sign. She held her hand out, and I placed my wrist gently in her palm. She watched my eyes intently, the familiar smile now gone. She raised her other hand, and looked me right in the eyes as she ran her small fingers gently over the harmed area.

"Ray, don't worry, they're healing now. So am I, everything will be okay." I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Alice.. are you up?" Louis, Maliya, the girls, and Liam came around the corner by the front door and stood on the edge of the living room.

"No, Alice, you aren't getting better." The voice that exited Raylen's mouth was strange. It was high like a young child's, but it had an edge of authority. She sounded like an adult, and there was something in her voice that sounded grim and definite. Like she was condemning me to death. But either way, I was overjoyed, it was the first time she'd ever spoken! My mouth turned into a large grin, and I turned to the other to see their reactions.

But they were all just the same. Standing there watching me, almost hesitantly. I was confused. Weren't they excited, Raylen had spoken for once! This was incredible, yet they almost looked sort of scared.

"Guys, what are you doing? This is great, isn't it?" My voice was excited, yet there was an underlying tone of annoyance in it.

"What's great Allie?" Liam asked, his face was confused, as was the girls, Louis' and Maliya's. The last two had a suspicious look on their face as well, though.

"Didn't you hear her? It's the first time Raylen has ever talked, isn't this incredible? Why are you guys so calm, we've got to tell Mum and Dad!" They all gave each other odd looks.
