Long Time, No See

Lucienne pov

* Somewhere Only the Author knows*

The last thing I remember was I found an exit portal, but a bunch of low-rank angels appeared out of nowhere on each side of me then teleported me somewhere else. I have no energy left to fight them as I fought a lot of Leviathan and other ancient monsters in Purgatory. I tried not to use my celestial power and only used it in an emergency situation as I killed the rest with my archangel's blade.

In my head, I dream that I was being rescued from Purgatory. I saw Hope running to hug me tightly. I take a deep breath so I could remember her scent, her soft touch, her ocean blue eyes, even the face she made every time she was angry at me. But reality decides to be a bitch as I see Michael and his cronies.

My hands are being tied above my head and I stand in the middle of the angel trap with holy fire to prevent me from escaping. I look up at the chain on my wrists that I know, somehow, it is special. I don't know how Mikey could get it, but it has a spike and digging to my wrists and, somehow, it keeps me from healing.

"What the fuck is this, Michael!?" I spat. "Let go of me. NOW!"

Michael standing outside the sigil trap, his lackeys surrounding us. "Forgive me for all of this, sister. But, no thanks to Lucifer, I have to do this. I'm sure you've heard war is coming, sister. A war between me and our brother, and he need to stop. I knew he would come to you for help and you are the key to defeating him. But, I promise you, sister, as soon as I beat him like the old times. I'd let you free and you can be with Hope. And my deepest apology about the chain is to numb the bond between you and Hope. Please don't fight it or you won't have more a hand."

"Listen, Joe Goldberg, I have no part or even want to participate this silly war of yours! I take an oath to mother!"

"Yes, yes. I'm fully aware of the oath between you and our mother, sister. But, still, you will drop everything for Lucifer. I couldn't let you, sister. Our brothers and sisters here would keep an eye on you, you are perfectly safe if you stay still." I lunge at him but the chain keeps me still and it digs deeper. "Please, sister. I don't want you to hurt yourself."

"I swear I would kill you and your paranoia!"

"And when all of this is over, I'd seek for your forgiveness..." He exhales heavily, "The prophecy said you would die in the war. I did this not just to save you, sister. But to save Hope, can you imagine how sad and broken she can be if you die? Unlike Lucifer, I'm aware of the prophecy." He walks closer to me, only a few feet away from the holy fire. "You are very clever, sister. Asking the other twins to keep Hope safe, knowing no one stupid enough to mess with them and to keep me away from Hope."
