Hope Andrea Morningstar 3.0 pt II

Lucienne pov

After a moment, both the Mikaelsons have enough of the woman and join me at my lonely table with the poor woman sitting between Rebekah and Hope. "Aren't you gonna finish your drink?" Hope to steal my glass and drink all of it then pours another. "Yeah, I think I'd better slow down. Maybe I'm old after all," Rebekah joked. "Rough day, aunty Bex?" I teased her. "And that's not the drink I was talking about," Hope pointed at the poor woman's neck where it has two holes on it.

"I've had quite enough of that. Besides, she's almost empty."

I raised my brow in confusion but also curious. "So what? We can drain her dry, pop another open. You said you wanted to have fun," Hope keeps pushing her, as Rebekah stares at the poor woman for a while until she leans closer. "Forget everything that happened here today. Leave. But always remember that country music is awful," Rebekah compelled the poor woman. I clapped my hands repeatedly, amazed at how she has changed all these years.

"I'm surprised you kept up the act as long as you did," I said to her. "Must have been torture for you," Hope added.

"What's torture is watching you go through this on your own when you have a family who loves you and who has experienced exactly what you are. Please come home with me," Rebekah pleads at her niece and sends me a 'Help' look. "You have no idea what I'm going through," Hope simply answered.

"What am I missing? Is being a Tribrid really that different than being a vampire?"

"This isn't about what she's missing, Bex," I said, wiggling my eyebrows.

"... Your humanity," Rebekah said as she realize something worst happened to her niece. Before Hope could say something, she gets up from her chair and ran outside of the bar, Rebekah and I look at each other until I hear her puking out. I sigh, getting up from my chair to help my hangover girlfriend. I found Hope, being over a trash can and continuing to throw every liquid inside her guts. I went toward her, holding her hair so it doesn't get on her mouth.

"Oh, sweetheart. Let me help."

Hope swatted her hand, "I don't want your help! Why don't you get that?!" Hope snapped. "Because your humanity is off. Which you explained to me wasn't even your choice," Rebekah said back. "It's the best thing that's ever happened to me," Hope defended herself. Rebekah stared at me as I raised my hands up in the air in surrender, "as much as I'd love to have all the credit, I have nothing to do with this."

"No one craves tetanus this much."

"What I crave is freedom. The ability to choose my own fate, go wherever I want. Forever."

"Such is the blessing of immortality. And also the curse. When your emotions are heightened, being a vampire can be indescribably beautiful. The sights, the sounds... Sadly, at this moment... The smells..." Rebekah sighs, "all are beyond the limitations of the human experience. But what's the point if you don't appreciate it?" Rebekah questioned her.

"I mean, you tell me. You're the one who wants to be human again."

Ouch, love...

"I've lived as a vampire for over a thousand years. I've experienced everything the world has to offer. Except those experiences that being a vampire makes impossible. I was envious when Niklaus and Hayley had the miracle that is you." I watch Hope roll her eyes, "But I would gladly give up that dream. I would give you the cure if you wanted it."
