Benny's POV:
It's the last week before school starts and when school does start we have to take a break from ball for a while. It's the worst time of the year! We had just finished playing ball for the day, when I decided to take a longer route to think. I told Smalls, to just walk ahead without me as I'm taking the back roads, to get home. I was thinking about baseball, as one usually does, when a ball, more specifically a baseball, landed right in front of me. I decided to pick it up and look over to the house next to me and realize that someone must have thrown it all the way across the house from the backyard to the front.
"Bitchin! That kid must have some arm."
I muttered to myself as I hear someone running to the fence. I don't even look up still thinking about who could have thrown it.
"Hey! you gonna throw it back!"
I hear someone yell. I look up to see a.... GIRL?!? And not just a girl, a girl with a glove on her left hand! My mouth dropped open and my eyes widened. I couldn't believe that a chick threw a baseball that far. Before I could even think about what I was saying or even stop my self I say...
"YOU'RE A GIRL!?!"
"AND YOU'RE A BOY!"
I hear her yell back. I was confused.
"HUH?"
I ask, trying to understand what she said.
"Oh, sorry. I THOUGHT WE WERE POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS!"
She yells back obviously annoyed with me. But why? Was it so out of the ordinary for me to be surprised that a girl threw that. She starts walking towards me, quite angrily. You could probably hear her footsteps all the way in New York! She stops in front of me, she doesn't look me in the eyes so I can't tell who it is, and harshly grabs the ball out of my hands and storms back to the fence and into her backyard. I got to be honest she looked really nice from behind. Agh! What am I saying, I don't have time for girls. Ball is the only thing that is important to me... right? Yes! Yes its, Benny why are you questioning it? My eyes widened as I tried to get that though out of my head. I turned on my heel and quickly walked away excited to tell the boys what happened.
THE NEXT DAY :
Small's POV:
"Scotty, honey?"
My mom says softly as she knocks on my door.
"What?"
I ask groggily/annoyed, because she woke me up. I slowly get up and walk over, knocking into everything because I'm too tired to care. I open my door to my mother with a surprised look.
"Yes mom?"
"Benny's here, so get ready. Ugh! And make sure to really brush your teeth."
She says with a disgusted face but with a bit of a chuckle backing it up.
"Hey! That's not very nic- wait Benny's here? It's 8 he comes around 8:30."
I say waking up a bit more each time a talk. I look over at my mom to see she has the same confused look as me.
"That's what I thought, but he's here so be quick."
She says turning me around by my shoulders and pushing me towards my closet.
"Ok, ok, ok. I get your point, I'll get ready."
I close my door and reappear about 5 minutes later looking like a rushed mess, because truthfully that's what I was. I walk out the door with my glove and hat to see an anxious Benny.
"Finally! We got to go get the others."
"What? Why? It is too early for this."
I say trying to stifle a yawn.
"It's only 30 minutes before I would usually come get you."
"Exactly! Too early!"
"Whatever man. I got something to tell you guys!"
A/N: So For Benny and some of the other boys I will be putting in some things that I feel they would think or say, but it won't get extreme nor dirty, because I don't like writing that stuff. Again the chapters will be longer later in the story and I hope you enjoy. Also not great with punctuation so sry if there are any mistakes, and I hope you are enjoying the story. I also have like no life so I will be posting a good amount soon. LMAO.
