Korril's  P. O. V

I had a long and busy day today, it was such a pain receiving orders in the Emperor's Coven, especially from a Coven Officer. "Why don't I take a stroll in the woods" I thought to myself "Maybe that'll get my head off things"

I snuck out of my dorm at midnight wearing a black robe wearing my hood on top of my head. I bought with me a bottle of booze I got from my parents and a dagger just in case. I exit my dormitory and went strolling in the woods of Bones Borough.

I got out my Scroll and rolled through Penstagram and saw many of my former Classmates and students posts, majority of which is the upcoming Grom Dance. "Titan Damnit" I cursed out loud "If I knew I was going to be drafted in the Emperor's Coven, I might as well waited after Grom"

I thought to myself about what could've been if Emira didn't do me like that "Fuck, why do I even bother" I sighed "Damn you, Blight, at least I don't have to face school and humiliation".

I opened the bottle of booze and began drinking as I kept scrolling down Penstagram, when I noticed something protruding on the ground. It looked familiar and shiny, maybe it's valuable? Rare? I cast out my scroll and went to the mysterious object on the ground. I walked over where I saw the relic as I  kept drinking, once I got a good glimpse of what it is, I choked and spat out the booze through my mouth and nose, it was painful, but what I saw couldn't believed my eyes.

"Could it be?" I said in amazed as I grabbed the rare item "It's a rare wood used to make Palismans" I said as I looked over the area, there's three chunks of wood I guess enough to make 2 or 3 more. It's definitely a rare find, probably 1 out of 1,000 or more.

I couldn't be more amazed, I thought these materials are nearly endangered or long gone. I've heard rumors of Palismans holders losing their staffs due to being careless, or they had little to no use of them anymore, some are even disposed but this, I'm keeping it, I feel as if the need of making a Staff and a Palisman rushed over my head.

I stashed the rare hard wood in my robe, finished drinking my booze and exited the woods, luckily without a creature or two bothering me. I went back to my dormitory not deciding what animal should I use for my Palisman, and ignoring the landlady as she told me something I never bothered to listen.

I went inside my room and locked the door behind me. I got out the Chunks of hard wood, used for making staffs, out of my robe and placed it in a small copper and silver chest I used to hide weapons.

"What should I do?" I thought to myself "I think I'll  need supervision in making a Palisman, the earlier known witches might be of help, but who?" I kept thinking on who I should ask for help. "Or should I just make one for myself right here, right now." I hesitated before making a decision "Maybe I'll just sort this one out tomorrow."

I got in my pajamas and went to bed that night, with the chest filled with the rare item on my bedside. Tomorrow I'm on break, so maybe I should ask Ms. Lilith, she'll guide me on making a witches staff, besides, I don't know anything about Palisman crafting.

The next day

I jumped out of bed excitedly and energetic for the first time in a while, I haven't been this excited for a long time. Not since I joined the EC. I went to my bathroom to take a shower and got in on my standard uniform. I grabbed the chest filled with the items yesterday and got out my dorm, drinking only Appleblood and skipping breakfast.

It was a long walk to the Emperor's Castle but I finally made it, now to talk to the Coven leader and the lady herself, but not without being ordered by Kiki Mora. "What is that you are holding?" The short Emperor's right hand questioned me. "It's a chest" I simply answered "What's in it?" She asked for the content of the chest "It's a rare heirloom from my parents" I lied, she looked at me suspiciously but told me to carry on. I didn't know why I lied, but I just felt like it was the best thing to do right now.
