Jiraiya's Twins

Chapter 1

Hello all, welcome to the Naruto Fanfic that I've been working on with my friend. this story is co-written by my friend Moon :3, and we are having a lot of fun writing this and we hope you enjoy this fanfiction. we will be following the plot for the most part. there might be some changes from the original story that'll fit our narrative, be we are still keeping this story close to the cannon.

The cry of newborn babies could be heard from outside the room. The new father stopped pacing and quickly opened the door. He was greeted by nurses cleaning and wrapping his newborn children into bundles.

The nurse looked at the mother "Congratulations! You have two beautiful -"

The woman scowled "I don't care about those bastard children, just give them to the man and leave me be."

The nurse was left speechless as she looked at the mother who just gave birth to her children. She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned around.

Another nurse that was in the room directed the man to another room. the head nurse shook her head and followed the group to the other hospital room. When everyone entered, the man finally spoke.

"W-what are the genders? Of the babies?!" He asked in an excited tone. The woman let out a sigh of relief. At least it seemed like he cared for them.

"A boy and girl, however, we need to run a few more tests. It seems like there's something wrong with your daughter's eyes." The nurse said handing the boy over to her college.

The man held his breath, not long ago she entered this world and he already felt like he did something wrong.

"Please wait here. What is your name sir?"

"Jiraiya."

She nods and walks away. Jiraiya sat down on the floor and put one of his hands on his face. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself but it didn't seem to be working.

"I'm a father... I don't know the first thing about raising a child. Let alone twins." out of all the mistakes he's done, this one has to take the cake. Nine months ago he thought he got a lead onto Orochimaru's whereabouts, but it ended up being a dead end. The need to forget about another failed mission led him to drinking with many women. The drinking led to spending the night with one of them, And now he's a father.... of twins of all things.

The head nurse came back wearing a slight frown. children. They were each wrapped in cloth making their genders.

"Your baby girl is healthy for the most part, but due to a genetic mutation in her eyes, she won't be able to actually see. However, it seems like she'll be able to tell the difference between light and dark." The nurse ended with a somber smile.

Jiraiya's eyes widened. His daughter won't be able to see him, or the world, or his books!

"Can I hold them?" He asked nervously

"Of course" She and the other nurse gave him his beloved children.

The baby girl opened her misty grey eyes and faced him. She suddenly smiled and reached her hands up towards Jiraiya. The boy kept his eyes closed and was breathing softly.

"What are their names?" Asked the nurse.

"She will be Katsumi and he will be Tadashi." he said with a small smile. Katsumi started to laugh and blow raspberries, while Tadashi yawned.

"It looks like she likes her name, and the other one seems to be sleepy." the nurse said smiling. As she was about to leave Jiraiya spoke up.

"Can you teach me the basics, please. And what do I need? Aside from food and clothes and..."
