Jiraiya's Twins

Chapter 11

"I... hate... this," Katsumi said, dragging her staff on one hand and holding her brother's hand on the other.

"Just think of this as a part of the training." Tadashi said with a yawn.

The twins woke up at 4:30 am. Tadashi insisted on getting there earlier than the other team members. Tadashi ate an onigiri ball while Katsumi refused to eat. She explained to her brother that it would be considered cheating if she ate and the rest of the team members didn't. They arrive at the designated area, Katsumi tries to sit on the ground but Tadashi pulls her up.

Katsumi whined "We're early. Let me sleep until sensei..."

"No, if you fall asleep now you could miss the whole training session. Keep yourself busy. Why don't you swing your staff around" Tadashi said looking at his sister. She could barely hold her head up.

"Mmm..." Katsumi picked up her staff and did just that. She lazily began Twirling and walking back and forth trying to keep her eyes open.

Later the other three team members showed up. Nobody said anything to each other, and everyone was clearly tired. They waited, and waited, the sun came up high in the sky and their teacher still didn't show up.

"Morning everyone" Kakashi said Nonchalantly.

"Hey! You're late!" Naruto, Sakura, and Katsumi yelled at the man. However, Katsumi was facing the other way. Naruto was kind enough to correct her and turn her around to properly face Kakashi.

"Well a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way" Kakashi said pointing to the direction he came from. Tadashi pinched the bridge of his nose.

Kakashi cleared his throat and walked to a tree stump. He set a clock down. "It's set for noon. "Your assignment is very simple, you need to take these bells from me before the time runs out. If you can't get them by noon, you'll go without lunch. You'll be tied to those posts and watch me eat my lunch." He pointed at five wooden logs stuck in the ground too far from them.

Katsumi shook her head, her own bells began to chime.

"Hearing him chew his food is going to kill me." Katsumi whispered.

"That's why you should've eaten something." Tadashi whispered back.

"Wait a minute, there are five of us. How come there are three bells?" Sakura asked.

"So that way, at least two of you will be tied to a post and disqualified for failure to complete the mission. And then you'll go back to the Academy. Then again, all five of you can flunk out too. You can use any weapon. If you aren't prepared to kill me you definitely won't get the bells."

"These weapons are too dangerous!" Sakura shouted.

Tadashi rolled his eyes. They do know this man is a jonin right? It was highly unlikely they would even be able to touch him at their current level.

"Especially since you couldn't dodge that eraser." Naruto added, laughing.

Katsumi giggled a bit. Which resulted in her brother lightly pulling her hair to shush her.

"Class clowns and usually their accomplices are normally the weakest links, the losers." Kakashi responded.

Katsumi and Naruto didn't like that one bit. Naruto began growling in anger while Katsumi closed her eyes and held her head down. Words are powerful.

Tadashi looked at the frown on his sister's face and bit the inside of his cheek. 'The nerve of this guy. First he shows up late then he mocks my sister when he hasn't even seen her fight.'
