Three years have passed

Twins: age 8

"You two be good alright." Jiraiya ruffled his son's hair. Katsumi hugged her dad tightly with tears in her eyes. It was finally time for him to leave them at the village. "I-I'll train really hard. And be a great toad sage just like you" Katsumi felt her father grab her shoulders.

"Can't wait to see it. Remember everything I taught you"

Jiraiya had taught her a variety of things. From reading braille to inventing her own way of seeing the world through the use of echolocation. By ringing the bells laced into her hair or her staff and expelling small amounts of chakra she is able to sense things around her. Katsumi's taijutsu is amazing, especially with her staff, seeing her fight with it almost looked like a dance. Her physical strength was unusual for a girl her size but each punch had the weight of 100 rocks behind it. Her ninjitsu wasn't as good, she primarily knew long-range ninjutsu attacks based on her affinity for earth and water chakra.

Tadashi was a young prodigy when it came to the ninja arts. He already was gifted in stealth and had a decent foundation for taijutsu. Due to his chakra attribute of water and wind he had already begun developing his own Jutsu. A kekkei genkai called Disaster Release. It was still incomplete but with some time it could prove to me extremely useful and versatile.

Katsumi tried her best to calm down and be strong but she kept sniffling. The bells in her hair jingled as she wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

"I have a gift for you two, I'm sure you'll like it"

Katsumi felt a small book being placed on her hand. She moved her hands to the cover of the book and felt the dots.

The Tales of a Gutsy Ninja

This was her favorite book that her father made. He would read it to her for bedtime while they were traveling.

"I'll protect this forever" Katsumi held the book close to her heart.

Jiraiya looked down at his son and smiled with pride. Tadashi was nothing like Jiraiya when he was eight, but at the same time, he was exactly like his old man. He took his training seriously, learning as many jutsu and ninja techniques as he could, savoring and relishing in the knowledge and power it brought. At times it reminded Jiraiya of an old friend he used to have. Of course, the boy was still very much like him. Not only in looks, in which the old difference was Tadashi's darker skin and straighter hair, but also in his taste for women. They both shared an innate ability to make the women around them swoon over their devilish charms and good looks.

"This is for you," he said, giving his son a small book. It was wrapped in paper, unlike the book he gave his sister. Tadashi looked up confused. "Why is mine wrapped like this?"

His father's response was a wink. That was all Tadashi needed to understand what his father was implying. His face turned pink and the boy cleared his throat.

"Thanks... for my copy dad. I'll treasure it too" he said.

"Good, that copy you have is signed. '' Jiraiya said proudly.

The breeze made the hair of the twins flow. Katsumi listened to the sound of her father's footsteps getting further and further away. She felt her brother's hand grasp her own.

"I'll show you where you'll be staying." Lord third said as he watched the two look out into the distance.

"Thank you lord third." Tadashi said with a bow. The three were quiet. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the bells in Katsumi's hair.
