Chapter 15

Katsumi walked behind the group. Tadashi and Sasuke were walking side by side, with Sakura walking by Tazuna. The two boys walked past Naruto causing the yellowed haired kid to run forward to catch up.

"There!" Naruto threw his kunai knife into some bushes.

"Naruto what are you doing?!" Sakura screamed, walking over to him and hit him in the head.

"Someone is following us! I mean it." He complained back.

Kakashi waded through the bushes to find where the kunai had gone. He found it lodged in a tree just above the head of a scared white rabbit.

"Look at what you did Naruto!" Sakura continued.

"Ah a rabbit! I'm sorry." Naruto ran up and began to console the creature trying to revive and repair any hurt feelings.

While Sakura, Sasuke, and the bridge builder surrounded Naruto as he cared for the creature he had just frightened. Kakashi seemed to be deep in thought and looking around the area. Katsumi walked to her brother, they both held each other's hand.

"Tadashi. I'm scared. " Katsumi said. She squeezed her brother's hand. Her eyes were open and her voice was shaky. "I think Naruto is right."

"Yeah. Get ready, I have a bad feeling about this" Tadashi said, stepping forward slightly to cover his sibling.

"Get down!" Kakashi yelled. The men and children immediately dove onto the floor as a large hunk of metal flew through the air. It slammed into a tree embedding itself halfway in. When everyone looked up, they saw a large muscular man standing on top of it. Well everyone but Katsumi. She held on to her brother's hand tightly.

"Well well if it isn't Zabuza Momchi. Rogue ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist." Kakashi said getting up and walking closer to the newcomer.

Naruto stared at the behemoth looking unsure of himself. To Tadashi it looked more like he had to use the bathroom, but then suddenly Naruto began running towards the Zabuza.

"You're in the way. Move Naruto." Kakashi said, holding out his arm to stop the boy from advancing. "He's in a whole other league compared to those other ninja. If he is who we are up against. Then I'll need this." Kakashi reached his headband and lifted the side that had been covering his eye.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan Eye. Did I get that right? Hand over the old man." Zabuza said looking down on the group.

"Quickly all of you! Improvised Manji Formation. Protect the bridge builder and stay out of this fight." Kakashi barked at the kids. The children dash to Tazuna and surround him, each holding up a kunai in a defensive stance. Kakashi opened his left eyes revealing a dark red pupil with three dark tomoe circling the iris.

"Ah there it is! The Sharingan. It's an honor." The man said.

Naruto began complaining, demanding an answer as to what the Sharingan was. Sasuke spoke up to explain that it was a rare power that resides in the eye. The user of this visual jutsu can instantly understand any genjutsu, ninjutsu, or taijutsu. They can take any attack and reflect it back on the attacker.

"You are correct kid, but you're only scratching the surface," Zabuza started.
"The sharingan can analyze an opponent's technique and copy it down to the smallest detail." As he spoke a deep mist rolled in from seemingly nowhere, covering the lakeside clearing. "As for you Jonin we have a standing order to destroy you on sight. In the assassin unit in the Hidden Mist we have you in our bingo book. It says you're the man who copied over a thousand jutsu; Kakashi the Copy Ninja."
