Hey! I recommend you to read the first book before the second book which is this one. The first book is called "it was her against me." And once you read that you'll understand the plot of this book.

"Ej! You didn't have to!" The girl blushed and he jokingly rolled his eyes.
"But I wanted to, you deserve it." Ej smiled at the girl and leaned in to kiss her.
"How did I ever get so lucky with you?" Nini giggled.
"By just being you."
"You're too nice." Nini said and Ej chuckled. She leaned in again to peck the boy on the lips.
"Sooo.." Ej dragged out. "When are you going to tell the others about us..more specifically..Ricky.."
"...I'm finding the right time to tell him." Nini sighed.
"C'mon, we can't keep us a secret for too long. Ricky is your best friend! And he is mine too, he atleast deserves to know. Despite the things he done to you in the past." Ej explained and Nini sighed.
"You're right." The brunette girl fidgeted with her fingers. Ej sighed and gently grabbed nini by the chin to lift her head up so she can look at him directly in the eyes.
"I love you." Ej said and nini smiled brightly,
"I love you." She said back and kissed the boy.
"Can't believe today is already our 1 year anniversary." The girls mentioned and Ej chuckled.
"Yeah, and I'm hoping to spend way more years with you." Ej said and nini smiled.
The girl was really happy, you may ask. What happened to nini loving Ricky. Well, you can love more than one person. She considers Ej as her second love. and nini also told Ej about it and he was perfectly fine with him being the second love. Ej knew she loved Ricky and that wouldn't change. But he also knew that nini loved him too.
