3 | they're dating?

"HE WHAT?" Ej softly shouted and let out a small chuckle at the end of his sentence.

"Ej!!" Nini whined, "this isn't funny. It's serious."

"I know I know, but I can't believe he actually told you about his feeling this soon." Ej said and dropped himself on Nini's bed.

Nini groaned in frustration, she laid next to Ej on her bed and sighed. "What are we supposed to do?"

"Tell him" Ej said. "Obviously."

"Ej..this isn't the time for jokes, if I tell him he will literally be heartbroken." Nini said, "we don't want a heartbroken Ricky."

"Yeah, but we also don't want a heartbroken nini. He broke your heart so many times!" Ej said, "I love Ricky so much, but he doesn't really have the right to get mad when you moved on."

"You are right." Nini sighed. "You're always right about things"

"I trust you to make the right decision nini." Ej said to the girl, that made nini smiled and blush. "And if that means you aren't going to tell him yet. Then I'll accept it."

"You're so understanding, I love you." Nini said pecking her lips onto his.

"I love you." He said back.

"So. Nini, Ashlyn is having a gathering tomorrow. Since we all haven't seen each other in a while. The whole friend group will be there." Ej explained and nini began to get excited.

"Yes!! I can't wait to see Ashlyn again." Nini said and Ej chuckled. "Is Seb going to be there?"

"Yeah, I know all of us aren't really close to him, but Carlos is still in contact with him everyday." Ej said and nini nodded.

The next day, Ej and nini were in the car on their way to ashlyn's apartment. They listened to music in the car, having fun and sharing laughs. Ej and nini truly loved each other.

"We are hereeee." Ej said as he opened the door to ashlyn's apartment. "We must be late or y'all must be early." He said when he realized everyone was there before nini and him.

"Y'all came together?" Ricky asked as he stood up to walk over to Ej and Nini.

"Oh um, yeah. He was the closest to my house." Nini lied and everyone oohed. Everyone else in the room knew the relationship between Nini and Ej. It was only Ricky who didn't know.

"Oh okay! Well let's all catch up." Ricky said, he grabbed Nini's hand and gently pulled her to the living room and they sat next to each other.

Nini kept looking up at Ej to reassure him that nothing is going on between her and Ricky. But Ej didn't need the reassurance, he trusted nini, but he appreciated it.

Everyone caught up with each other, Ashlyn pulled nini and Ej to the side to catch up on their relationship and Ricky got suspicious.
After the three teens when back to the living
Room with all of the others. "I'm going to the bathroom." Ricky said. He left to the bathroom and everyone sighed. "When are you going to tell him? I don't think I can keep acting like y'all aren't together." Kourtney said and Ej chuckled.

"She'll tell him when she's ready." Ej said and nini smiled.

"Yeah." Was all she said to that question. She then pulled Ej to the kitchen, they hardly had time to themselves because Ricky was there.
So now that he was in the bathroom, they had time. Nini initiated the kiss, and it quickly deepened. Carlos heard Ricky come out the bathroom and Kourtney tried to signal them that he was coming towards the two but they didn't notice until it was too late.

"What the fuck..." Ricky said, his jaw dropped to the floor, as his eyes kept looking at nini then at Ej. "Wait what? Are y'all drunk? Why are you guys making out?"

Everyone oohed. "Ricky..I i-" nini struggled to find words, and Ej was completely speechless.

"...so you aren't drunk." Ricky scoffed. "Then what's going on here?!"

"Ej and I are dating." Nini quickly blurted out and Ricky was taken aback.

"D- dating!?"

"Yeah..." Ej cooed.

"Dude!? You told me many times that you didn't have a crush on her anymore and you were like an older brother to her! What the actual fuck?" Ricky shouted at the two.

"It isn't his fault! You have NO right to be mad Ricky. This is your fault." Nini pointed to his chest. "You're the one that decided to hurt me many times 2 years ago. You lost me. Sorry but fuck off! I am with Ej now and I'm happy."

"How can you possibly be happy with this dork?!" Ricky said rolling his eyes, in clear jealousy.

Everyone one was enjoying the drama but they knew they would have to stop it if it got any farther. "Woah woah Ricky! Calm down, no need to be calling names." Ej said and Ricky scoffed.

"Happy with Ej? When you are supposed to be with me?" Ricky said pointing to Ej then pointing to himself.

"Stop it Ricky! I am not obligated to like you. I've lost all my feelings for you. I may still love you and all, and Ej knows that. But I do not have feelings for you." Nini said and Ricky scoffed.

"Just when I thought I was winning your heart back, I find out about him." Ricky said, "I can't believe this." He aid lastly before leaving ashlyn's apartment.

"That got messy quick." Seb said and nini shot a glare at him. "Okay okay! Sorry nini."

Ej sighed and looked at the brunette girl, "it's okay nini. He had no right to shout at us like that." He paused, "but you were right about him being heartbroken."

"Yeah.."nini said, laying her head on Ej's chest and his fingers went through her hair gently.
"I love you." Nini said.

"I love you." Ej said back, and kissed Nini's forehead.

"Y'all are so cute!" Kourtney said walking h to the two teens. "Anyways, Nini's 19 birthday next week!"

"Yess! Cant wait till' my girl turns 19." Ej smiled and nini chuckled.

"Cant wait till my boy turns 21!"

"No no nini, I'd rather stay 20 forever."

"Ej, we both know that's not possible." Nini said and Ej chuckled.

"A way to point out the obvious, nini." He joked, and nini giggled.

She doesn't care what Ricky said about Ej, she is happy. And if he were her best friend, he'd be happy for her.
