Chapter 41

"Ahhh it's really cold" I whispered as I buried myself deeper into our blanket. I soon felt a pair of arms wrap around me, pulling me into a hug. 

"You're awake already?" Jin asked as he snuggled against the crook of my neck. 

"Not really" I yawned "What time is it anyway?"

"I don't know..." He mumbled "Maybe it's...time to get more sleep"

I chuckled before closing my eyes again and drifting to sleep.

I stretched and noticed Jin wasn't beside me. I rubbed my eyes as I was grabbing my phone from the bedside table, but to my surprise, I fell down from the bed and hit my elbow on the carpet. 

Thank god for carpets. It didn't hurt as much but it still hurt. 

My attention turned towards the door as Jin poked his head in. "You alright?" He chuckled as he looked at me who was still on the floor.

"Yeah" I replied "I guess my body's still sleeping" I laughed before looking at the time "eh? it's-"

"I know, we overslept again" Jin laughed as he leaned against the door frame. "Let's go downstairs, brunch is ready"

I nodded before I walked up to him and gave him a hug. "Good morning" 

He chuckled and placed a kiss on my temple as we went downstairs "Good morning, Junghee"

"I cooked beef stew. I made it a bit spicy since it's really cold today" He said before we both sat down by the dining table. A bowl of rice, a bowl of beef stew and a glass of orange juice were prepared infront of me. 

"Got work today?" I asked 

"No. I don't" He replied "Is there something you wanna do today?"

I smiled "Not really. I was just planning on laying in bed all day, watching netflix and maybe sleep" 

"The snow's kinda bad too" Jin replied "Let's just stay in bed all day then. It seems like a great idea. It's been a while since I stayed in bed all day too"

"Ah, Junghee" He called "I forgot to tell you there will be a new year party tomorrow. It's kind of a semi formal party with again, with the family, dad's friends and business partners. Do you wanna go? or should we celebrate on our own?"

"as much as I'd love to celebrate new years ourselves, I think it'll also be fun to spend the new years with the family...y'know" I replied 

He gave me a soft smile "You're right and even if we enjoy each other's company...You gotta admit it's a bit lonely with only the two of us here celebrating" 

"I think we've gotten used to parties now" I laughed as we continued eating our meal for the day. 

So yeah, we spent the rest of the day just as predicted. Instead of finishing our second movie, we both fell asleep and woke up at 11 PM feeling really hungry. We didn't feel like cooking anything gourmet so we decided to just heat up some ramen and ended up watching netflix again.

It was 1 AM when we finished eating and decided to lazy around in the dim living room with only the Christmas lights on. Kirby was sound asleep on the carpet while Jin was reading a book and me, just scrolling through tiktok with my legs on top of Jin's thighs. 

"Seokjin-ah" I called him before he looked up from the book he was reading "Would you still love me if I was a worm?" 

"If you're a what?" He chuckled "A worm??"

I nodded, trying to look serious. "Yeah, would you still love me if I turned into a worm?"

"Ofcourse, I'd take care of you. I'd let you eat a lot of healthy stuff..." He replied and continued on reading "The birds would be happy to eat a healthy worm"
