Chapter 33

I was finally home after being stuck in traffic for like thirty minutes. I almost fell asleep inside the taxi. 

"I'm home" I said as Kirby jumped on my leg, still excited as ever to see me. I walked over to the kitchen and saw Jin cooking while he's on his phone. He's still dressed in his working clothes...I guess he just got home too.

When he noticed me, he walked over to me and placed a kiss on my forehead. He mouthed a "Wait" as he continued to talk over the phone. I wonder who he's talking to? 

Maybe the female doctor...?

There it is. My heart started to feel heavy again. 

"alright" Jin chuckled "Alright bye, see you tomorrow" He said before he placed his phone down. 

"Hi jagi how was your day?" He asked 

"Tiring as usual. My back hurts from all the studying and slouching" I replied as I leaned my back on the chair. "What about you?" 

"My day's alright" He replied "Kinda fun than usual. I met some new doctors in the hospital, they were pretty fun to be with too"

"That's nice" I replied. I wanted to ask who he was with earlier...But I don't wanna blow my cover yet. I kinda want to spy a little...Just so I can really see who that girl is or what she wants with Jin. 

"How's Joowon?" He asked as he placed a plate of food infront of me. "Is he conscious now?"

"Yeah, he woke up earlier and even studied with us" I replied "good thing he's alright now. His mom's in the same hospital as him too" 

"That's great news" Jin replied "C'mon eat up I know you're hungry" 

I smiled "I am. Thank you for the food Jinnie"

"Junghee" Jin called. I looked up at him as I was trying to sketch something. "are you done yet?" 

"Almost. Why? Do you need something? Water? Medicine?" I asked as I continued to erase the messy outlines. 

"Come here...Cuddle me" I heard him mumble. "Come quick, I'm about to sleep"

"Eh? Then you can just sleep-"

"I said come heeereee" My eyes widened as I hear him whining. I found it cute, he never whined this loud before. I sighed in defeat before I turned the lampshade off and went beside him.

"I'm here" I chuckled as I kissed his cheek "Are you okay?" 

"Ofcourse, I'm just really sleepy" He mumbled against the crook of my neck. We lay here in silence while he was resting his arm on stomach as I ran my fingers through his hair, my cheek against his head slowly feeling drowsy. 

This is super relaxing. It's warm and comfy...He's like a big teddy bear.

Jin wasn't here when I woke up but he prepared breakfast for me when I went downstairs with a note saying 'Good morning, jagi. Jinnie had to work early today :( Eat up and take care!' 

He's so cute I swear to god. I wanna squish him up. 

The day went by as usual, after all our classes we went to visit Joowon. We don't have the same schedules all the time but we agreed to meet up after all our classes are finished. Exams are coming up and we were all certain that we'd receive a high rating. 

Jiwon printed some worksheets for us to answer and I finished first, so I decided to grab a drink again. This time, I'm craving for ice cold coffee. 

As I was waiting for the vending machine, my eyebrows met as I heard something around the corner. What's going on?I grabbed my drink and decided to peek, just to see what happened. I see someone on the floor, but can't really see who it is since they were covered by three to four people

But to my surprise, I dropped my drink and immediately ran towards the scene.

No way...

No fucking way. 

"Seokjin!" I exclaimed as I sat on the floor and placed his head on my lap. "Seokjin" I called out to him as I lightly tapped his cheek thinking he would gain consciousness. He's burning up.

Soon after, a doctor came and immediately carried him to a room. I went inside the room with him and waited for Jin to regain his consciousness. After a few minutes, the doctor was done treating him. 

"Hello, excuse me..." The doctor said as he walked infront of me "You're Mrs. Kim right? Dr. Seokjin's wife?"

"oh..uhm yes" I replied. Wait...this doctor's really familiar. 

"Ah, wait a sec" He said as he grabbed something from his pocket. "He left this at my desk earlier" he pulled out Jin's wallet and handed it to me. "I'm new here, so he offered to tour me around the building and we eventually became friends"

Wait...Don't tell me...?

"I'm Dr. Baek Hyukjae" He grinned "Hyung's got a high fever right now but he'll probably wake up after a while. He's gonna be alright, it's Seokjin hyung" 

So the female doctor I got jealous with is actually a male doctor with long hair? Why didn't I realize it sooner? Was it because I was eaten up by jealousy? 

"Uhm are you okay?? D-do you need to lay down too?" He asked nervously "don't faint too-"

"Oh no no no, I'm okay" I said and chuckled awkwardly. Is he really a doctor?  "I just zoned out a bit"

"Oh um okay" He scratched his nape "Seokjin hyung might've overworked himself a bit, he sometimes forgets to eat lunch and decides to work at his clinic during his lunch breaks too. I noticed he's a bit stubborn when it comes to work" 

I became more worried. I never knew Jin could be like that, I'm always beside him yet I never noticed how tired he is...He always looks out for me and cares for me, he even notices the smallest things. I feel bad...I'm sorry Seokjin-ah. I'm sorry I didn't notice.

"I'll be going now" Dr. Baek said "Don't worry too much, he's alright now" 

I nodded and gave him a soft smile "Thank you so much" I said before he walked out of the room. I immediately took my phone out and called my friends to tell them what happened, they understood and wanted to visit before they go home.

I noticed Jin move his hand, so I went over to him and placed the phone back in my pocket. 

"Hey, how are you feeling?" I asked as I sat  beside his bed. "You passed out and you were burning up"

"Junghee?" He asked "Where are you?"

I froze when he spoke...

"What do you mean? I'm right here"

He paused and tightened his grip on my hand. "Why can't I see anything?"
