chapter 14~ if i cant have them, no one can

    it's now the next day and you were planning on seeing mirko again. that is until what hawks said to your earlier

     {flashback}

   "hey keigo i was planning on seeing m-" you get cut off by hawks. "no (y/n) please stay with me. i don't want you leaving the house" "keigo, i'll have to see her eventually. when she's ready to leave the hospital i have to leave this island." you sigh. "i'm gonna live with you when you go back,right?" keigo asks. you sit  there in silence. it was kinda awkward. "well? are you gonna answer me or what?" he asks again. "y-yes sorry. you can move in with me. my apartment is kinda tiny though" you reply. "perfect! now we can raise a family there! i'm so excited" hawks says happily.

  "y-yeah i can't wait either" you say while he pulls you into a hug. you smile at the sudden embrace and hug him back. you truly love this man, even after everything he did. you couldn't stand being away from him. his genuine smile, his soft hair, his everything. he was perfect to you.
Even after the bullshit that he puts you through

   "so (y/n) stay with me today.. i'll give you permission to see mirko soon." he says while holding your hands. "thank you, keigo." you say

why am i shaking? do i kill her? fuck no that's (y/n)'s best friend. i love (y/n). i need them in my life. but fucking mirko is in the way of us. she's gonna take (y/n) away from me. stop fucking thinking like this keigo. i'm not killing a hero.

  you're just sitting on your couch until you hear your phone ringing..

  "unknown number?" you say

you pick up

caller~ hello is this (l/n) (f/n)?

you~ yes, who's speaking?

caller~ it's rumi's (mirko) doctor. she's all fixed up. you may pick her up any day now. we're putting her on some medications so be sure to look after her for us

you~ okay thank you! i'll pick her up today!

  call ended

you throw your phone eagerly and drive recklessly to the hospital. you were so excited to see your best friend. but..
that means you have to leave this island.
  it won't be too bad, though. you'll be moving in with your boyfriend! that's not bad

oh how naive you are...

a little later ..

you arrive at the hospital and sprint inside to the front desk with a huge smile on your face. "i'm here to pick up rumi usagiyama" you say. the front desk lady calls mirko's room to confirm that she's ready. "you may pick her up now" the lady says. you run to mirko's room and run to her side "ready to leave bitch?" you ask. "hell yeah i am. let's go!" mirko shouts. 

  you check out at the front desk and then you and mirko are out and about. "we have to leave the island now" you say. mirko looks at you and frowns. the two of you don't live close but not too far either. though it's not often mirko's able to visit. "ughhhh now we won't see eachother for like.. a long time" mirko says while trying to count. you giggle at her. "welp we gotta pack then.. but first let's go eat something" you say.

   hawks sees you and mirko walking out of the hospital.

i told them to stay home today.. why didn't they listen to me?

why am i over thinking? they're just with mirko

what if they're planning to break up with me?

  you and mirko get ice cream and chat for a little. nothing too serious, just what best friends do. hawks on the other hand.. he's being protective of you, as usual. just planning on what he'll do next. is he gonna hurt someone again?

timeskip to when youre packing your bags to leave the island

"why were you with mirko?" you hear a familiar voice say. you slowly turn your head until a hand meets your stomach. the impact was, hard? did he just punch you?
  you fall from the sudden punch and gasp for air. you're on your back and you can't move. you turn your head to the side just to see a red feather pierced into your hand, pinning it to the ground. you're too afraid to feel anything. you're ready to scream until he shushes you. does he even realize what he's doing hurts you?
do you even know that no sane person does this?

"now i want you to answer me.. why were you with mirko?" he asks while keeping a grip around your neck. "i-i was picking her up from the hospital- they called me and-" "i heard enough (y/n) don't go out without telling me. i'm trying to protect you" hawks says to you. "i'm sorry. can you please take the feathers off of me, we need to leave the island." you ask. he takes the feathers out and helps you up. "you're so stressful (y/n), now get cleaned up." keigo orders.
