Chapter 18- Losing Everyone

Kinley's POV
*11:00am*
"Jake!" I yelled looking around.
Me and Carl have been looking for Jake since 7:00am.

Me and Carl separated, I looked on one side of the woods and Carl looked on the other. I walked more to the left and heard moaning. I turned around to see a walker. I screamed and shot it in the head.

It fell on the ground, dead. I looked at it to see Jake as a walker. I fell on the ground and cried.
"CARL!" I screamed crying.
Carl came running fast through the trees.
Carl saw me and then Jake as a walker and came up to me.

He hugged me and I hugged back and cried.
He pulled away and told me to face the other way. I did.
"Kinley," Carl said.
I nodded.
"He killed himself." Carl said.

Those 3 words killed me instantly, I broke down in tears.
Carl hugged me.
"How?" I asked crying.
"He shot himself in the stomach and lost tons of blood probably and died, then became a walker." Carl said hugging me tighter.

I hugged him back and cried.
"Carl we have to bury him." I said crying.
Carl nodded and went in his bag.
He found a sheet and covered Jake with it. He picked Jake up and we walked back to the house.

Carl sat him down beside the house and grabbed a shovel. He dug a whole and placed Jake in. He grabbed his knife and stuck it in his head and pulled it back out. He covered him back up with the dirt and grabbed tons of rocks.
He made it into a J.

After Carl was done he hugged me. I hugged back and cried so hard into his chest. This freakin sucks, he lost Maddie and didn't want to live anymore. This week was the worst ever.

I cried even harder.
"It's okay Kinley." Carl said rubbing my back.
I shook my head.
Carl pulled back and kissed me.
I kissed back.
Carl pulled away and smiled.

I smiled.
"It's gonna be okay." Carl said smiling.
I smiled and nodded.
We walked back inside the house and I went into the kitchen. I sat on the counter and grabbed an apple.

I began to eat it.
"Cruncher." A voice said.
I jumped and Daryl came around the corner.
I screamed and jumped down and ran to Daryl.
He hugged me and I hugged back.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked pulling away.

Daryl pointed behind him and I looked.
I saw Rick and the rest of the group. I smiled and hugged Rick. He smiled and hugged back. I pulled away and hugged everyone else.

"Carl!" I yelled.
He came running out of our room.
"Dad!" He yelled smiling and running to Rick.
I smiled as they hugged.
Carl hugged everyone else as well.

"Where's Jake and Maddie?" Beth asked.
I shook my head.
"Maddie died in her sleep and turned and Jake couldn't deal without anyone left so he killed himself." Carl said.
Everyone was in a sad silence.

"Well um we have that room and you can split the 2 others." I said.
They all nodded and went into the rooms. I went into Jakes old room and grabbed all of his things and put it in my closet.

"I miss him." I said closing the closet.
Carl hugged me and I hugged back.
"I know, I do too." Carl said rubbing my back.
"This sucks loosing 2 people in 2 days." I said snuggling up to Carl.
He nodded in agreement.

I pulled away and laid on the bed.
Carl shut the door and snuggled up beside me.
"You locked it didn't you?" I asked smiling.
He nodded smiling.
He pinned me down to the bed making me laugh.

He hovered over me and smiled.
I smiled and he kissed me.
We both smiled in the kiss.
Our lips were moving in sync and my hands found there way in Carls hairs.
He chuckled in the kiss making me smile. Carls hair was really soft.

I pulled away and Carl was confused.
"Your hairs soft, I need your shampoo." I said smiling.
Carl fell down on me laughing so hard and I couldn't help but laugh too.
"We're making out and you stop to ask me about my shampoo." Carl said laughing.
I nodded and we both laughed.

Carl hugged me but laying on top of me. It was actually pretty comfy.
"Can we continue?" Carl asked.
I smiled and nodded.
Carl sat up and kissed me right away.
I kissed back. Our lips were moving in sync. His lips were really soft though. He deepened the kiss making my stomach get butterflies.

I pushed Carl over on his back and never broke the kiss. He smiled in the kiss. His hands moved to my waist and he pulled me down. I smiled and laughed a little and continued. He smiled in the kiss.

We've never kissed this long or made it this magical. But I loved it so it didn't matter. Carls hands wrapped around my waist and I was still on top of him.

I missed doing this all of the time, to be honest.
Carl pulled away and smiled.
We listened to each other breath and looked into each others eyes.
"That was really nice." Carl said smiling.
I nodded.
"I missed those." I admitted smiling.
Carl smiled.

I laid down beside Carl and laid my head on his chest. He kissed my head and laid back down.
"I Love You Kinley." Carl said.
I smiled.
"I Love You To Carl." I said smiling.
He smiled and closed his eyes.
I got up and turned off the light and laid back down.

It was already 8:00 but I was super tired from today so I closed my eyes and fell asleep instantly.
