Chapter 14- Jealousy

Kinley's POV
Carl is jealous.
Carl looked at me with those eyes.
"I don't trust Jake around you or you with Jake." Carl said.

I closed my eyes and shook my head.
"Carl it sucks for me to think that you don't trust me with him. I'm not gonna do anything with him. Your my boyfriend and I love you so freakin much." I said letting a tear fall.

"I know I'm sorry. I'm just -" Carl said but I inturpted.
"Jealous." I said.
Carl looked at me and saw my tears.
"Kinley," Carl said.
I shook my head and got up and walked out leaving Carl.

It hurt me that he didn't trust me with Jake. I love Carl and he knew that. I walked downstairs to everyone getting ready for bed.

"Getting ready for bed?" I asked confused.
"Yep." Carol said smiling.
"But it's like 7:00pm." I said.
"We're going on another run tomorrow." Rick said.
I nodded.

"What's wrong?" Daryl asked me when he saw my face.
"Carl." I said letting tears fall.
He put down his backpack and crossbow and took me to another room.
He hugged me and I hugged back.
"What happened?" Daryl asked.
"Carl doesn't trust me with Jake." I said crying.

Daryl sighed and hugged me tighter.
"He'll figure it out baby, I promise." Daryl said pulling back.
I nodded and wiped my eyes.
Daryl gave me a tissue.
I smiled.

"Just sleep in my bedroom if you want tonight. I'll sleep on the couch or the floor in there." Daryl said.
"Daryl it's fine, I'm okay." I said.
"Your not okay when your crying and when they aren't happy tears." Daryl said.
I sighed knowing that Daryl wouldn't let me win this argument. He was sleeping on the couch or the floor and I was sleeping on the bed and that was that.

I walked upstairs to Daryls room. I took off my shoes and laid in bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

*morning*

I woke up to poking.
I opened my eyes to see Maddie crying.
"Maddie what's wrong?" I asked worried sitting up.
"Bubba won't wake up he asleep. I had bad dream." Maddie said crying.
"Maddie," I said picking her up.
I hugged her and sat her down beside me.
She laid down and fell asleep.

I looked at my watch and saw it was 7:30am. I sighed and got up and shut the door. I walked downstairs and saw Jake eating breakfast. I sat beside him on the island in the kitchen.

"Hey." Jake said smiling.
"Hey." I said smiling.
"Maddie came in my room, she said you were asleep." I said confused.
"She probably just wanted to sleep with you or spend time with you. I've been awake since they left." Jake said laughing.

I laughed and shook my head.
"Have you seen Carl?" I asked awkwardly.
"I think he went outside." Jake said.
"Thank you." I said smiling.
He nodded and I got down.

I walked upstairs and went in Carls room. I grabbed my skinny jeans, a gray v-neck, and black toms. I quickly took a shower and got dressed. I dried my hair off and left it down.

I went downstairs. I grabbed my gun and holster. I put my holster on and put my gun and knife in there. I walked outside. Carl was on the porch but I kept on walking.

"Kinley!" Carl yelled but I kept walking.
"KINLEY!" Carl yelled even louder but I kept walking.
I felt arms spin me around.
"Kinley please," Carl said begging me.
"Carl stop." I said walking away.
"Please Kinley can I talk?" Carl asked.

"Your talking now." I said turning back around.
"Wait where are you going? Never mind that, I didn't know what the crap I was thinking. I trust you Kinley not Jake yet. I'm sorry." Carl said.
"It's fine Carl, I'm going into the woods." I said then walking away.
"Wait up!" Carl said.

"I can go by myself." I said turning back around.
"I can't just let you go into the woods by yourself." Carl said.
I walked up to Carl and smashed my lips into his. He smiled and kissed back. Our lips were moving in sync which made me smile.

Carl pulled away and we were both out of breath. Our foreheads were touching and we were looking into eachothers eyes. I smiled and kissed him again. He kissed back and pulled away. We both couldn't breath.

"I'm coming with you weather you like it or not." Carl said smirking.
I smiled and walked with Carl behind me.
*screams*
I turned around to look at the house.
"Maddie." Carl said.
I took off running as fast as I could.

I opened the door to see Jake with a gun and Maddie crying in a corner.
There was a walker coming towards them.
I got out my gun.
"MADDIE CLOSE YOUR EARS!" I yelled.
She closed her ears and eyes and I shot.

"How did it get in here?" Carl asked picking it up and putting it outside.
"I don't know it almost got Maddie." Jake said crying.
Carl grabbed Maddie and checked for bites and I hugged Jake. Carl understood now about me and Jake.
Jake just almost lost his last family member, he needed company.

"You okay?" I asked Jake as he hugged back.
"Yea it just scared me. It came from upstairs." Jake said.
"What?" I asked getting up.
"CARL!" I yelled.
He came running with Maddie around the corner.
"Give Maddie to Jake. Come upstairs with me, the Walker came from up there." I said calm as possible.

Carl nodded and gave Maddie to Jake and we walked upstairs.
We both had out our guns. We checked our room first. Nothing. Then we check Jake and Maddies room. Nothing. Then we checked all of the other rooms. Nothing.
"What the crap..." Carl said looking in the bathroom.
I looked in to see a whole in the roof.

"That wasn't there this morning. I took a shower." I said confused.
Carl and I both were confused.
"Let's climb up there." Carl said.
I nodded. We went in our room and climbed out the window and up the roof.
"Oh my god." Carl said helping me up.
A small helicopter was up there. It landed but how all the walkers.

The helicopter had caused the hole. There was around 3 walkers up there. We shot them and climbed back down.
"There's a helicopter up there and was 4 walkers. One fell through the whole and the other 3 were up there." I said.
"We killed them." Carl said.

Jake was shocked. He and Maddie were hugging.
"Did you ever hear a bang or anything?" Carl asked.
"No." Jake said confused.
I was shocked and scared.
