Chapter 4- Setting Up

Carl's POV
Me and Kinley have been dating for a while. Our 3 month anniversary is tomorrow.
I wanted to do something special for her.
Something Romantic.
I know what your thinking nobody can fall in love or keep up with there anniversary anymore. Idk how me and Kinley keep up with that stuff or how we love each other.
My dad always told me you don't know what love is when your this young my mom even tells me that or used to.
"Hey dad?" I said walking out of my cell.
"Yes?" My dad said turning around facing me.
"Um I'm going to go for a walk." I said winking at him.
"Ok bring your knife and gun. Don't use your gun unless you have to." He said laughing because he knows what I'm doing.
I smiled and said "Thanks." and then I grabbed my backpack full of what I'm going to use to decorate the place I'm looking for and walked out of the prison as Maggie and Glenn opened the gate for me.
"Be careful little man." Glenn said closing the gate.
"I will!" I said turning around waving then kept walking.
I started walking in the woods to find a special safe place for me and Kinley. I kept my knife in my hand the whole time just in case I found a walker.
"Arghhhh!" A walker came out from the trees.
I stabbed it with no problem.
Soon enough I ran into a cabin about 5-10 minutes from the prison. I opened the door and closed it so no walkers could get in. I didn't see any walkers when I walked in.
The cabin was just one big room that was untouched with no windows besides in the front by the door. I pulled my backpack off my back and started to decorate.
Kinleys POV
I woke up in Carl's cell.
"Morning Carl." I said looking around.
Where's Carl?
He's probably already up.
I got up and picked out my clothes. I grabbed my sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and my gray toms. I went to the shower room and took of my clothes and turned on the shower. I let the warm water run all over my body and I just sat there for a while under the water. I grabbed some soap, washed my hair, then my body, and rinsed off.
I grabbed my towel then dried off and got dressed. I put my hair up in a messy bun because I was too lazy.
"Morning everyone!" I said walking into the cafeteria part of the prison.
"Morning." They all said at different times.
"Where's Carl?" I said sitting down next to Beth.
"He went for a walk." Rick said.
"With who?" I said nervous.
"He went alone I'm pretty sure. He has a knife and a gun Kinley don't worry." Glenn said walking in.
I put my hands on my face and shook my head.
"Why did you let him? He could be dead or hurt?!?!" I said freaking out.
"Kinley if he's not back soon then they'll go look for him." Beth said rubbing my back.
I sighed and Rick handed me a bowl of cereal.
"Thanks." I said smiling at Rick.
I sat there and ate my cereal thinking if Carl's okay.
"Hey everyone." Carl said walking in.
"Oh my god your okay!" I said running up to him hugging him.
He put down his things then wrapped his arms around mine.
"I'm okay I only ran into like 1 walker." He said calming me down.
"Well I'm glad your okay." I said getting out of our hug and smiled.
He grabbed my hand and then grabbed his things with his other hand and walked me to his cell.
"Why did you go on a walk?" I said sitting on our bed.
"I needed sometime by myself I guess." He said shrugging his shoulders then sat down beside me.
"You could've woke me up and I could've gone with you so you would be safer." I said laying my head on his shoulder.
"You looked so cute sleeping I didn't want to wake you." Carl said wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me closer.
I smiled kissing him on his cheek he blushed a little but smirked.
"I love you." He said smiling at me.
"I love you more." I said smiling back.
"Not as much as I love you though." He said kissing my forehead.
I just smiled.
"What time is it?" I said wondering.
"Um 12:00pm, why?" He said to me.
"Idk I'm just bored." I said extending the bored.
"We can walk around the prison." Carl said laying his head on mine.
"That sounds nice." I said getting up.
Carl got up and grabbed my hand and we walked around the prison.
*time 10:00pm*
"Kinley I'm gonna get you!" Carl yelled running after me.
I screamed and took off.
"Nooooo!" I yelled running towards the towers.
I ran up the stairs and realized that I'm basically cornered.
"Ha now your cornered." Carl said laughing coming up the stairs.
I basically tried to climb up the tower inside it but that didn't work.
"Gotcha!" Carl yelled laughing grabbing my waist and pulling me down.
"Dang it Carl." I said laughing on the floor.
"Your so cute when you laugh." Carl said smiling hovering over me.
"So are you." I said smiling back.
We started leaning in about to kiss and of course that didn't happen.
"What are you two doing?" Rick walked in.
"Ummmm" Carl and I said at the same time.
"Save that for later it's time to go to bed." Rick said laughing walking out.
Me and Carl laughed and got up and went to 'our cell'.
I walked in and took off my shoes then Carl did the same. Carl laid down and I snuggled up beside him. His arms wrapped around my waist pulling me closer and I put my head on his chest.
"Goodnight my beautiful princess." Carl said kissing my forehead.
"Goodnight my handsome Sheriff Boy." I said snuggling my head in his chest.
It just hit me tomorrow's our 3 month anniversary, I hope he remembers. I soon fell asleep by Carl's heartbeat.
