Malfoy warned me not to come, and yet here I am standing at the rather large door of Malfoy Manor. The Manor was decorated nicely with large greenery edges curving along the driveway and elaborate gardens.

However the spirit of Christmas isn't here. It's eerily silent, and not a Christmas decoration in sight. No festive ornaments, or twinkling lights or Christmas wreathes. I'd say it's more like Halloween with the mansions scary, intimidating appearance.

I pound on the rough heavy door, bruising my knuckles. It felt wrong. Where they home? I could only hear my quiet knocking and shaky breathes. As I reach to pound the door once more, it slightly opens up.

I see Malfoy's face from the mere opening. His eyes fall as if he's disappointed. He proceeds to open the door full way. He looks me up and down as do I. He's dressed like he's going to a funeral. Black shirt and pants - which fit him way too well - with his hair combed neatly.

"You look... nice. But that jumper, it's red..."

"It's Christmas Malfoy."

"There's no such thing as Christmas at the Malfoy's."

"Is that why you look so disappointed?"

He scoffs, rolling his eyes. "I couldn't care less about Christmas. I just hoped you'd take my advice and not come here. Just so you know." He whispers into my ear as we head to dinner. "All of this is because of you. We haven't had a normal dinner in... well a long time."

"...That's awful."

"No, this will be awful." He grunts  looking at me displeased.

I suddenly lose my whole appetite. Dinner at this luxurious looking house, seems like a nightmare now.

We entered a lavish looking room where the dinner would be held. Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy are seated across from each other on a long dark oak table - the time of table you'd see in villainous movies.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Malfoy. Happy Christmas Eve.." I say nervously. They both stare at, especially Lucius who eyes my bright red jumper.

Narcissa greets me with a warm smile and extends her arms out. "It's a pleasure to have you Lilith. Welcome to our home."

"Yes... welcome..." Lucius casually says looking unamused as he drums his fingers on the table.

"It's a lovely home you have here." I say as Draco and I walk over to the two empty chairs beside each other. Was their position done on purpose?

Narcissa looks around the room as if for the first time, admiring the crystal chandelier, portraits hanging on the walls and marble pillars.
"You're so kind Lilith." She says gently. She looks so elegant as she picks up a silver fork from the table and begins to aggressively tap it against her glass goblet. "ELVES!" She calls unexpectedly, shattering her gentle image.

A house elf rushes over stumbling over his own feet and clicked his fingers at a fireplace arousing a great fire in the beneath a marble mantelpiece. I watch him as he races across the whole room clicking his fingers to enlighten candles before he comes to us and with one last click a magnificent feast appears before our eyes.

"Enjoy everyone." Narcissa says while looking at us all. A grumpy Lucius. An uncomfortable Draco and a scared unwelcome guest.

"... This meal looks amazing Mrs. Malfoy." I look at the delicious assortments of meats, vegetables and pastries. Feeling some hunger return.

"Oh well." She chuckles uncertainly. "The credit goes to the elves. I'm not much of a cook. But you're welcome Lilith."

"You can call me Lily, if you like." I say without thinking.
