"I choose you too."

I rested my head in my hands thinking back to last night. Class was moving by so slowly, and Tendou and I had already been scolded for talking too much in class. Things had definitely changed since then. It was nice to look back on even if it was just last night, but it didn't even feel real to me even now.

~

Tendou and I stared at each other mystified by what had just happened. Did this mean we were dating? Was this just an act to get Semi off of him?

"You two would look good together anyway." Semi bowed his head down as if in defeat, "I didn't mean to cause any trouble if this between you two has been going on for a while."

I smiled and looked at Semi, "You mean you're alright with all of this?"

Semi began signing and speaking at the same time when Tendou's attention was turned towards him, "I do have feelings for you, Tendou, but I don't want to lose my relationship with my best friend. Y/n, I don't want this to hurt us. We've got Keita with a broken heart, and the last thing we need is to be divided because of something no one can control."

Speechless, I stood in front of him staring straight at him as if he was a stranger to me. In truth, he was a stranger; this wasn't the same Semi who watched Tendou and I get lunch then compete the entire day with Kiyoko and I.

Tendou opted back to signing this time.

"You will always be friends to us, and I hope that never changes," Semi translated vocally for me, "I'm happy that this is the case, but-" He laughed quietly, "Maybe you two could find someone for me. My mom is beginning to worry that I haven't talked about anyone yet."

I snickered quietly, "Well, Keita is a brand new bachelor."

"Maybe I'll go comfort her after all. Y/n, don't come to your dorm for a while." Semi ran past us like a happy dog chasing after a cat making us both grin as we turned to watch him leave.

"He told me I can't go to my dorm." I said looking at Tendou.

Tendou grinned and caught me with his arm snaking around my waist. He leaned close to my ear, "We can always entertain ourselves other ways."

"Other ways?" I blushed at the way my mind took it as well as the way his body was somewhat pressed against mine.

He pulled me to look at all of the booths with prizes to win and grinned. I almost sighed in relief... that's what he meant.

So, we started the early night competing against each other with water guns (he won), throwing darts at balloons (I won, but I think he had mercy on me), and throwing rings on bottles (I refused to participate after losing four times, but he won).

He threw the large snake at me, and I laughed wrapping it around my neck like a scarf as we walked away from the ring toss. He put his hand in mine, "So, I wonder if your dorm is safe."

"I won't risk it tonight." I laughed looking at him so he could read my lips. The way he looked at my lips now differed from the way he used to when he was reading them; it made me feel vulnerable and needy.

"Then you can come with me; I'll kick Sakuya out if you don't want him there." He laughed as we headed out of the fair and towards the dorms.

"No, I actually need to speak with him."

Tendou didn't question it even if he did furrow his eyebrows in confusion at the idea. We snuck past the guard and made it successfully to his room where Sakuya waited laying on his bed.

He grinned in excitement when he saw me, "What's up, babe? Heard you were hooking up with my sister!"

"Shut it." I stomped towards him and grabbed his collar, but he only smirked.

"So you like it rough?" He asked without losing his cool once.

"Your sister is a cheater. She is weak, and she is a cheater. You need to get out right now and go have a talk with her instead of wasting your time with me." I let go of his collar and crossed my arms.

Sakuya didn't say anything, but he did get up and move out with obvious embarrassment clouding his cheeks red. He closed the door leaving Tendou and I alone in the room.

"Feel better?" Tendou asked halfheartedly.

"No." I replied and let myself fall on his bed.

Tendou came and sat next to me. He put his hand on my shoulder looking away in thought about what to say to me. He quickly jumped with an idea, "What if I teach you sign?"

I sat up intrigued, "Sign? You'd do that?"

"Absolutely."

That's what we did for a few hours that night until we fell asleep laying next to each other.

~

If only I would've known that last night Keita and Semi weren't comforting each other together, but they were thinking about separating from Tendou and I. Whether Keita awakened harsh feelings in Semi, or Semi lied directly to my face, is up for anyone to decide. Both of them refused to even look in our direction.

I turned back looking at Tendou who looked up from his notebook to tilt his head a little and scrunch his nose back at me.

At least I had him.

But, I knew I'd want my two closest friends back. I just hoped they'd accept me again.
