"SIRIUS BLACK, I SWEAR if that's what I think it is-"

"What do you think it is?" Sirius interrupted Estella.

"Uh, a cigarette?" She said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, which in this case, it was.

"You want some?" Sirius smirked as James, who was currently sitting next to him, laughed. Remus had been ignoring the two, keeping his head in his book.

"Did you just ask me if I wanted to smoke on the train to school?" Estella looked at the boy with a cigarette in his hand as she leaned against the compartment door.

"...Uh, no?" Sirius raised a brow, hoping to sound convincing. "Anyways, come sit with us! What's a Juliet without her Romeo?" He winked.

"Uh, alive?" Estella walked into the compartment as she took a seat next to a reading Remus in front of James and Sirius.

"O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Uh, something about the east and the sun and something about denying a father and refusing a name." James continued.

"Wow, how inspirational, James." Estella joked sarcastically.

"Thank you, thank you."

"Uh, anyways," Sirius interrupted. "We'll be at Hogwarts soon."

"Can't wait for our next trip with Nana Lia." James smiled. "You all are staying at my house next summer, my mom will love you, Essie. You're practically the same person."

"Yep, and Essie, as much as I love that dress on you," Sirius looked at the girl up and down as she raised her brow. "We need to change into our robes, we'll be arriving soon."

"Alright, alright. If you want me out of here so badly.." Estella sighed dramatically.

"Wait- No, I didn't mean it like-"

"No, no. I understand." The girl sighed dramatically once again, just to manipulate the boy. "I'll see you all later."

"Es-"

But before he could even finish, Estella had already dramatically exited the compartment.

"I swear, you and Essie are the same person." Remus sighed.

gryffindor girls dormitory | sunday, december 27, 1974
3:56 PM

"Home sweet effing home," Marlene sighed while she dropped herself onto her bunk in the dormitory. "Ah, what ever will I do without Nana Lia?"

"You know," Lily added. "Maybe learn to do things yourself?"

"Nah."

"Okay, so are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?" Estella looked at the two girls curiously.

Marlene furrowed her brows, her face forming into a face of confusion before she looked around the room, "I don't see an elephant?"

"Marlene," Lily face palmed.

"So, Lily," Estella smirked. "How are you feeling about Jamesie boy?"

"I don't know," Lily sighed dramatically. "Maybe you can ask him when you visit this summer!"

"I wouldn't know either," Estella's smile dropped. "My parents believed one lie about me staying at Hogwarts over Christmas, I don't know if they'll believe another."

"Oh," Lily realized. Lily had forgotten about her pureblood supremacist family, to which nobody enjoyed.

"Yeah." Estella breathed out. She let a breath she didn't even realize she was holding whenever she spoke of her family. She heard a noise coming from the sound of her nightstand. She glanced over and opened the bottom drawer to reveal the source of the bothering sound.

It was the mirror.

This is a two-way mirror, I've got the other one of the pair. If you need to speak to me, just say my name into it; you'll appear in my mirror and I'll be able to talk in yours.

"Lily," Marlene started. "I'm hungry from our trip-"

"Again, when are you not?" Lily complained.

"Wanna go grab some pudding from the kitchen?"

Lily sighed once again for what seemed like the millionth time that day, but nonetheless followed the clueless blonde down the stairs.

Once she made sure the two girls were out of sight, she spoke into the mirror to answer the brown haired boy on the other side.

"Sirius?"

"Essie! Oh my- Thank you, you have no idea how glad I am you answered." Sirius said relieved.

"What? What is it? Are you in trouble?" Estella asked concerned.

"No, no. It's James. He keeps trying to set me up with Karma Summers. She's insane! And frankly, so is he!"

"Summers?" Estella's face turned to one of confusion. "What? Why?"

"I- don't know why. But he is, and I need somebody to distract him or something so he doesn't notice that I didn't talk to Summers."

"So, what do you want me to do?"

"I don't know. Maybe make up a lie about Summers? Say you're hanging out with her tonight or something? Or have Lily distract James-"

"Lily would kill me, Sirius."

"Please, just- Do anything. Anything at all."

And with that, Sirius' face disappeared from the two-way mirror.

What had Estella just gotten herself into? She didn't have a clue.

short update- but anyways, hopefully Must Be A Weasley will start making more sense soon!
