the next day..

"I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND why Lily Evans has to look that good, I mean," James complained to his parents at the dinner table. "It's like the universe made me like the best looking person alive so that they reject me every time!"

Fleamont and Euphemia were used to James everyday ranting of Lily Evans rejections.

"Keep going, son." Fleamont encouraged. "That's how I got your mother."

     "Fleamont!" Euphemia glared.

"What? It's how you fell in love with me, right?" Fleamont continued. "The only time your lips were talking about me was when you were complaining then the next day, you were using them to-"

      "FLEAMONT!"

"Make the first move on our first date." Fleamont tsked. "You showed me that that mouth wasn't only meant to speak horribly about me. You used them to kiss me!"

"No offense, guys," James sighed. "But I really don't care about your first kiss."

The three Potter's continued eating their dinner in relaxation..

..Until the doorbell of the Manor rung.

"That's strange," Euphemia said confused. "Fleamont, James, were any of you expecting somebody?"

The boys were just as clueless as her as they both nodded no. "James, darling, can you get the door?"

James opened the door only to reveal the two people he was least expecting.

There stood Estella and Sirius, both soaking wet from the rain. Estella had Sirius' leather jacket draped around her shoulders, making it look extremely oversized on her petite body.

"Sirius?" James looked to the side when he finally noticed somebody else. "E-Estella?"

      "J-"

"James, dear, is anybody at the door?" Euphemia came to the door into the frame. "Oh, dear. My," Sirius and Estella were panting heavily under the rain.

"Both of you, come in, now." Euphemia lead the two dripping children inside of her home. "On the couch in the living room to your right."

The two kids felt guilty having James' mother having to deal with two more kids showing up to her house at night. They both sat in awkward silence until James and his mother joined the living room with a basket and a first aid kit. Sirius was first to speak up.

"Mrs. Potter, I am so sorry-"

      "Excuse me?"

"I know this probably isn't your ideal night, and we didn't mean to add more stress-"

"Oh, nonsense!" Euphemia gave them both a warm smile. "You've both been here thousands of times. I was wondering when you both were going to crack from your horrible parents."
