--playing The Chain by Fleetwood Mac--

[The rest of the day for Scarlette was spent with her friends- as they tried to cheer her up, she pretended she was fine just an hour after the argument when she really was not. Now, two hours before the awaited Halloween dance, Scarlette wears a skeleton t-shirt and her usual mom-jeans+jean jacket. She pulls her voluminous hair back in a headband when she steps out of her apartment. Daniel also steps out of his apartment, wearing a blue and yellow football jersey] "What, you're not the costume type?" [Daniel says something to her for the first time in a while, he had missed talking to her. Scarlette laughs and nods]

"Nope. Waste of my precious money." [she smiles and they laugh, they hadn't spoken in days. Daniel leans his arm on the wall, Scarlette leans her back on the wall] "Are you done giving the silent treatment now?"

"I-I wasn't giving you the silent treatment- you were spending a lot of time with Johnny and-."

"That doesn't mean you have to stop talking to me." [She steps closer to him, tilting her head]

"Well, I'm talking to you right now aren't I?" [Daniel smirks, Scarlette's smile fades a little. She felt really happy to be friends with Johnny, Bobby, Dutch, and Tommy again, but she was feeling pretty miserable for being away from Daniel for so long, and so awkwardly too]

"Yeah but-" [Daniel cuts Scarlette off with an embrace, he can't find the right explanation. She hadn't hugged him in a while. It felt good, but she was confused. She gives in and hugs him back] "I'm sorry." [he spoke- which were the only words he could find, he saw Scarlette happy with Johnny and the gang- he felt that if he told her the full truth she wouldn't be happy. Daniel keeps it a secret, even if it tortures him. Eventually the hug ends and Scarlette can't help but smile, as Daniel bashfully scratches his head]

"So what're you dressing up as?" [Scarlette leans on the wall again]

"It's funny that you mentioned precious money because I have none, so I don't have a costume either." [Daniel says scratching his head and laughing at himself- he didn't know if he was even attending. This was for the same reason he'd stay hidden- he didn't want to get beat up. Yet, Daniel didn't care as much now, he realised he should be braver and face things head-on. But how can he do so without being stupid and becoming a bigger target?

"I'm sure you can come up with something, Daniel." [Scarlette smiles and hears the honking of Johnny's car, she starts down the stairs] "I'll see you at the party." [She waves goodbye]

"Yeah, see ya." [Daniel waves goodbye smiling- his smile fades as he watches her step into the car of his rival with his arms crossed. He leans on the railing of the balcony for a while- thinking of a way to end this mess. Daniel heads to Mr. Miyagi's office when he is at a loss of ideas- almost giving up on the idea of showing up to the party tonight]

--at the dance--

[Scarlette stands beside the Cobra Kais by the punch table. Scarlette watches as the gymnasium full of dancing students, she looks around the room for Daniel but he cannot be seen. She checks her Casio watch to see that the party was already an hour through] "He probably didn't show up, hiding again." [She thinks as she sighs but continues looking on. Johnny taps Scarlette on the shoulder] "Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom- it's too damn loud in here." [Johnny lies, he's heading to the bathroom to smoke a blunt but won't admit it]

"I thought you liked loud?" [Scarlette catches onto Johnny's untruth- he wasn't spending much time with her at the party]

"Yeah, loud rock. Not this stuff." [He laughs again- Scarlette sighs]

"You're not gonna ask me to dance or anything?" [She waves her hands around, annoyed gestures. She wasn't much of a dancer but she would've danced if Johnny had just asked or insisted]

"After I go to the bathroom." [Johnny walks off to the bathroom and Dutch follows. Tommy and Bobby head towards the bathroom too. Scarlette rolls her eyes]

"This is so damn lame. I bet Daniel would've danced with me.." [Scarlette crosses her arms as she looks over at the popular girls. Scarlette searches the room, wishing to find Ali, but she cannot. Scarlette spots a familiar shower curtain- looked like the one in Mr. Miyagi's office. Scarlette jogs over to the 'shower', it must be Daniel. As Scarlette reaches the curtain she is hit by a-]

"RAW EGG?!" [A gag pulled by one of Freddie's friends. She shakes her head as she looks at the chicken costumed egg-thrower] "Asshole." [An amusing joke- but not to Scarlette. She heads to the bathroom to wash off the egg from her hair and return to the party. She washes the egg out of her reddish brown hair as well as she could, it would take a while] "What kind of jackass does this bullshit." [She angrily murmurs to herself as she scrubs her hair. She finally completes this and heads back out to the party- a crowd of people squirm and murmur] "What the hell happened here?" [Scarlette asked a random student]

"The kid from Jersey just ran out of the men's room and Johnny and his friends went after him- it was sick!" [The student replies. Scarlette covers her mouth shocked- she had so many questions]

"Who started it? Where'd they go? Who-" [So many unanswered questions that Scarlette seeks answers for]

"I don't know, I just saw them running!" [The student replies annoyed at Scarlette's aggressive manner. Scarlette begins running out of the gym, slipping and falling in the puddle. She groans but her hand is picked by a gentle and familiar girl]

"Am I allowed to help you now?" [Ali helps Scarlette up from the gymnasium floor]

"Ali I-" [Scarlette is cut off]

"It's ok, once again we all have our days. Just trust me-I just want to help." [Ali smiles, Scarlette smiles back, she slowly backs away towards the exit to find her friends and Daniel] "Go!" [She insists, as this could be a desperate situation]

"Right- thank you, Ali!" [Scarlette waves as she runs out of the gymnasium and towards Reseda. She figures that the fastest way to do so is through the back gate. She runs as fast as she can, knowing that Daniel, Johnny, Tommy, Bobby, and Dutch were minutes ahead of her. Scarlette finally arrives, climbing the gate and seeing her Cobra Kai friends lying unconscious in the grass. Daniel could not be found, and evidence of an attacker could not either. Scarlette knew this couldn't be Daniel's doing, but who?]

"What the fuck?" [She runs closer and looks around the perimeter to see who did this] "What the fuck?" [She repeats louder as she looks at her friends again- She puts her head on Johnny's chest, his heart is beating and he is breathing. She takes a breathe of relief that her friends are not dead but is still deeply concerned and confused] "But still, WHAT THE FUCK?!" [She holds her head in her hands as she stands back up- covering her mouth again] "Who could've done this? What the fuck happened?" [Scarlette is gravely concerned for her friends, overtime she can connect the dots] "The boys must've been jumped by some guy when they were jumping Daniel? That doesn't sound right- but it can't be- but it has to be Mr. Miyagi has done this." [Scarlette continues to stress as she finds a way to take her friends to safety]
