[Scarlette and Daniel pant as they finish their last match for the night- Daniel wipes his sweat on his blue shirt. They take a seat on the patio beside each other. Mr. Miyagi prepares Daniel's cake and presents] "Not bad, Daniel." [Scarlette says, finally caught up on her breathing. She looks over at him with her dark brown eyes, he looks back over at her]

"Is that right?" [He smirks]

"Yeah, you're gonna be pretty badass at the tournament." [She looks ahead and fidgets with her hands]

"Y-you too." [He stutters, his face flushed and he was very clearly tense. He wanted to kiss Scarlette so bad, after all they've been through- and yet he hadn't even told her about his breakup with Ali yet]

"What're you so nervous for? You're stuttering, birthday boy." [She looks back at him and continues to smirk- she puts her hand on his back and rubs it. He becomes more tense]

"I-I'm not nervous, I'm fine. I'm great." [He stutters again, making Scarlette laugh. She leans in closer to him to whisper in his ear]

"You're cute." [She whispers then stands up, walking over to the door inside. Daniel blushes and smiles] "I'm gonna hit the showers, karate kid. I'll see you." [She walks into Mr. Miyagi's home, grabbing her bag for her change of clothes. Daniel gets up himself to get ready and shower as well]

"She really does make me crazy.." [He says to himself smiling. Meanwhile, Scarlette gathers her things then turns around to see her new/old sensei, Mr.Miyagi, wearing a birthday hat. Scarlette smiles at the sight- the old man was very funny at times]

"Scarlette-San, you like?" [He shows her a Miyagi-Do gi. She stands up straighter and nods]

"Yeah, he's gonna love that." [She smiles as she examines the gi]

"Not for Daniel-San, that already wrapped." [Mr. Miyagi steps closer to her to hand her the gi. She still examines it, she then looks back up at him] "This for you, your old gi, Aka-San." [He hands her the white gi, with an intricately stitched bonsai tree on the back. Scarlette suddenly remembers this was her old gi as the fabric touches her skin- it looked like it'd still fit, it used to be a little big on her before anyways]

"Had it really been that long?" [She thinks as she is surprised that she didn't even remember her old gi. She also notices him call her Aka-san, he used to call her this when she was first his student- this brings her back to old times as well. She smiles again and looks back up at her sensei] "Thank you, Sensei-" [He could tell how much she appreciated this gift and his acceptance of her back into Miyagi Do. When she joined Cobra Kai she thought that was where she was supposed to be- she forced herself to be there for so long. Although it brought her confidence and strength she could never have predicted- it also strengthened her anger issues and impulse to react violently to situations. Once she met Daniel, once she hurt him for the first time- she became aware of this, she became aware of the mindset Cobra Kai/herself had formed- and she just knew it wasn't right. Now more than ever she knows this, and she felt that it wasn't fair for her to gain this mindset and be kicked out for using it- it didn't make sense]

"Miyagi. Call me Miyagi." [The old man corrects, he does not feel that he needs to be addressed in such an obedient manner by someone who was close friends with him]

"Right- I'm sorry," [She laughs] "It's just been so long." [She continued- Mr.Miyagi nods and laughs as well]

"See you after shower, Scarlette-San." [He smiles and walks off to finish setting up. Scarlette nods and smiles to herself as she makes her way to the bathroom to shower]

--after the shower--

[Scarlette steps out of the bathroom wearing a patterned crop top with matching patterned shorts. Her hair is down as usual, she doesn't like to wear it up- She doesn't usually wear makeup but tonight she did. She wore a bit of eyeliner for once. Scarlette enters the room to see a large birthday cake being placed on the table with Daniel sitting beside it] "Hey, birthday boy- lookin' rad." [She greeted as she sat beside him, Daniel was a little bit in awe- Scarlette looked very pretty in his mind tonight]

"T-thanks, you look really nice too." [He stutters again, making Scarlette giggle. He smiles and scratches his head- Mr. Miyagi then enters the room singing happy birthday to Daniel. Mr.Miyagi lights the candles on Daniel's cake and takes a seat. Daniel blows out the candles and Mr. Miyagi brings Daniel's present over- he opens and takes out a miyagi-do gi, identical to Scarlette's. With a great smile, he thanks Mr. Miyagi multiple times for the amazing gift]

"You get driver's license?"

"Yeah, yeah look." [Daniel excitedly pulls his wallet out from his pocket and opens it to take out his new driver's license] "I'm legal now." [He laughs as he recalls the times Mr. Moyagi let him take the wheel in his car]

"That remind me, of number 2 present." [Mr. Miyagi says as he looks at his student's license. The old man stands up and waves his hand, signaling to follow him] "Come- come outside." [The teenagers do as they are told and follow the old man outside]

"No, no, no, Mr. Miyagi, you didn't have to get me anything." [Daniel insists as him and SCarlette follow their sensei outside]

"No, no-" [The old man replies but is cut off by Daniel]

"You've given me enough already, I'm serious."

"No, no, no-" [He stops in front of the row of glistening and fancy cars- the cars that Daniel had waxed months ago] "Chose." [Mr. Miyagi points at the row of cars and Daniel puts his hands on his hips, thinking]

"Oh, no, no-" [Daniel cannot believe this, he wanted a car so bad but he felt that he couldn't except something so generous]

"Ay! Hurt old man feelings." [Mr. Miyagi says] "Chose."

"Oh wow-" [Daniel looks over at the four beautiful cars- a yellow one stands out to him. He walks over to it] "Oh, Mr. Miyagi." [He leans into the car, looking into its interior features. Scarlette follows and looks into it as well, she smiles for Daniel- very happy for him. She wouldn't usually care enough to be happy for someone, but Daniel just made it happen] "I can't believe it!" [Daniel Larusso opens the car door and sits in the driver's seat. He leans his head back and enjoys the moment. Scarlette sits in the passenger's seat beside him] "Oh, wow. What a gift!" [Daniel says, making Mr. Miyagi smile greatly]

"Just remember, license never replace eye, ear, and brain." [The old man leans into the car as well, watching Daniel hold the steering wheel] "What matter?"

"Oh, nothing I'm just nervous about the tournament."

"Remember lesson about balance?" [Mr. Miyagi asks, Daniel nods] "Lesson not only for karate, lesson for whole life. Whole life have a balance, everything be better." [Mr. Miyagi wisely says, catching the attention of Scarlette but she still looks out her own window from the passenger's seat. Therefore she does not see as Mr. Miyagi points at her with a smirk to Daniel. Daniel laughs] "Understand?" [Daniel looks over at her with a big smile]

"Yeah, I understand. You're the best friend I ever had."

"You pretty ok too." [Mr. Miyagi smiles. Daniel laughs] "Go, go find a balance." [Mr. Miyagi laughs, Daniel laughs back again, nodding as he starts the car]

"Ok." [Daniel begins driving off]

"Bonsai Daniel-San and Scarlette-San!" [He yells to the yellow car, driven somewhat far ahead of him already]

"Bonsai!" [Scarlette and Daniel say, waving]

"Bonsai!" [Mr. Moyagi waves his arms around behind the car]

"Bonsai!" [Scarlette and Daniel repeat louder as they drive off completely now. Scarlette laughs as she looks out the window, seeing the old man's figure walk back into his house. She turns to Daniel and they both laugh- And as Daniel focuses back on the road, he grabs Scarlette's hand to hold. Her face reddens and the laughter fades into a small but calm/happy smile]
