[A MONTH LATER-COBRA KAI DOJO]

[Scarlette wipes her sweat from her forehead, she pants and walks to the water cooler, Johnny and his friends were chatting there as usual. Scarlette groans, she must go over there. She steps in front of Johnny, without making eye contact. The boys stop conversing and awkwardly stare. They all hadn't spoken to Scarlette since she was pushed by Johnny]

"Hey, Scar." [Johnny taps her on the shoulder, surprising everyone. He was no longer mad at her- ready to move on. The boys and Scarlette are speechless] "Can I talk to you for a sec?" [Scarlette rolls her eyes and pretends that she didn't hear him] "Scar?"

"Why are you calling me Scar? We're not friends." [Scarlette turns around with her eyebrows pointed- frustrated that Johnny still calls her by nickname even when they are no longer friends]

"I'm over it."

"Just because you're over it doesn't mean I have to jump back into friendship with you. I've moved on-"

"Just give me a chance-"

"You wouldn't give me a chance, why should I give you one?" [She raises her voice]

"Because."

"Because what?"

"Because, because." [Johnny lacks a good excuse again, Scarlette repeats her eye roll stubbornly. She attempts to escape her situation by walking off, but Johnny grasps her shoulder] "Please- it's been months, Scarlette." [She sighs as Johnny becomes more serious]

"We were such good friends before and we will have our setbacks- that's how friends are. This is where I'm supposed to be, right?" [Scarlette grows a small smile on her face- she really wants things to get back to normal]

"Ok." [She stops walking away and stands beside her friends, they all smile and continue their chatter. Things were no longer awkward]

"So, are you going to the halloween dance, Scarlette?" [Bobby inquires]

"I'll go if you guys will I guess." [Scarlette sips her water. She wasn't the biggest holiday fan, not the most festive. She didn't really like costumes]

"We're gonna dress as skeletons- you should too."

"Yeah, sure. I'm gonna waste my hard earned money on a tight spandex skeleton costume." [She remarks sarcastically. The others laugh]

"You could just wear a skeleton tee, it doesn't have to be a whole costume." [Tommy offers, Scarlette nods] "Johnny are still going to the dance with Ali?" [Bobby, Tommy, Dutch, and Scarlette laugh at Tommy's ridiculous question- of course he wasn't going to the dance with Ali]

"Haha- very funny." [Johnny says a little annoyed. Time passes and the friends exit the dojo together, parting their ways soon after. Scarlette waves goodbye to Johnny last and walks over to the entrance of the restaurant nearby. She steps inside and makes her way to the table Daniel sits at. He is just about finished with his dinner as he waves at Scarlette surprised]

"Hey!" [He says standing up- still food in his mouth. Scarlette giggles at Daniel's goofy face]

"Hey Daniel."

"Daniel, be safe- oh you must be Scarlette." [Lucille nearly bids Daniel goodbye before meeting Scarlette for the first time] "Daniel's told me all about you!" She smiles and looks at her son with a smirk]

"Ma!" [Daniel's face reddens, he scratches his head in embarrassment. Scarlette laughs at the event occurring]

"I'll leave you two. Be careful." [She waves goodbye and heads back to her work]

"Let's go-" [Daniel rushes Scarlette out of the restaurant before anymore embarrassment occurs. They step outside of the restaurant and Scarlette stops Daniel's rushing at the stairs]

"Hold on- you told your mom about me?" [She laughs and smirks]

"Yeah but-"

"That's cute, Daniel." [Scarlette continues to walk towards Reseda and Daniel follows. He's very flustered and his face is blushing harder than ever]

"Wait-"

"You like me, don't you?" [Scarlette continues to smirk as Daniel stomps and pouts]

"I do not! I was just- just telling her how good of a friend you are!"

"You have a big fat crush on me, don't you?"

"N-no!" [Daniel yells, stuttering. Scarlette laughs again] "I mean- I- NO I don't have a crush on you!" [Scarlette's laughter increases. They both eventually calm down- but Daniel's face is still red and he still feels a little tense. They arrive at Reseda and step up the stairs together- Mr. Miyagi was outside his office once again]

"Daniel-san, Scarlette-san."

"Hello Mr. Miyagi." [The two greet]

"How is..uh..snake dojo?"

"Cobra Kai- it's fine I guess." [Mr. Miyagi nods as he places a pumpkin outside his office and closes the door- leaving the two alone. Scarlette looks over at Daniel, now that she knew he liked her back she wanted to kiss him right now. She felt an urge. They passionately stare at each other- this time Daniel is the one to break the silence]

"What? Do you want to kiss me?" [He smirks and laughs]

"Yeah-" [Her actions and words are interrupted by the honk of a familiar and expensive car horn and loud rock music. It was Johnny, Daniel knew it too. His fear had taken over and he must leave]

"I gotta go-" [Daniel steps away from Scarlette and towards his door. As he opens it, Scarlette rests her hand on Daniel's arm to stop him from leaving her so quickly]

"Hey wait! It's just Johnny- he must be stopping by to say hi to me on his way home."

"I thought you guys weren't friends anymore."

"We made up." [Daniel rolls his eyes and groans] "Hey, why are you so afraid?"

"I'm not- I just gotta go, ok? I'll see you tomorrow."

"Ok..bye." [Scarlette picks up on Daniel's odd mood. He closes his apartment door, grabs a drink, and sits beside the window- looking out at Scarlette as Johnny approaches her]

"Hey stranger, what're you doing here?"

"I wanted to talk to you- maybe we could catch up." [Johnny looks over at Daniel peaking through the window sipping some cola. He looks away- pretending that he wasn't watching the two but continues to watch after breaking eye-contact with Johnny. Johnny smirks- he just came up with an idea to piss off Daniel] "I know we're all kinda going together anyways- but I was wondering if you could go with me to the halloween dance- like as a date." [Scarlette thinks about Daniel- they nearly kissed but Daniel failed to make the move and he instead escaped because of his fear of Johnny. The cowardly attitude wasn't very attractive to Scarlette]

"Sure- that sounds great." [Daniel spits out some of his cola and chokes on the rest. Johnny smirks at the cringing kid then smiles at Scarlette]

"Cool-" [Johnny's pager interrupts his next words to Scarlette. He then looks at his watch- he was late for dinner with his parents] "Shit- I can't hang out tonight I'm sorry. I gotta get home."

"That's alright, I'll see you next week." [Scarlette smiles as Johnny steps back to the stairs and heads towards his car]

"Ok, bye!" [He waves and drives off. Daniel shakes his head at his failure- he felt like a pathetic coward. He couldn't hide from Johnny for much longer]
