--playing Heart of Glass by Blondie--

[Johnny angrily clenches his fist wishing to immediately fight Daniel. Who could blame him?- Daniel was sitting with Johnny's closest friend and ex-girlfriend. Some time passes and Daniel completes his lunch, standing up to throw away in the nearby trash can. He carries his tray, passing by Johnny Lawrence on his way- the two rivals make eye-contact, they continued to angrily glare at each other]

"Why is he looking at me like that?" [Daniel thinks to himself, feeling intimidated- looking less aggressive than Johnny did. Ali and Scarlette look over to see Johnny hold his leg out to trip Daniel]

"Daniel, watch out-!" [Scarlette yells as Daniel falls onto the dirty cafeteria floor, dropping all of his uneaten, gross-looking, lunch onto himself. The room erupts with laughter and he stands back up wiping food from his shirt and shaking the whole milk from his dark brown hair. Scarlette and Ali stand up, rushing over to Daniel, the two girls give Johnny a dirty look as he and his friends still laugh hard. Ali puts her hand onto Daniel's shoulder] "Are you ok?" [Scarlette asks as she examines Daniel Larusso, he has pizza sauce on his knee and elbow, mashed potatoes on his hip, and of course milk in his hair]

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." [Daniel lets it go as he gives Johnny one more angry look. He then looked down in embarrassment as he continued to scrape off the pizza sauce from his jeans- Scarlette and Ali stood in front of him and glared at Johnny, Scarlette more angry as usual. The two girls then look behind them at Daniel, they proceeded to help him clean up and ignore the other around them]

--school ends--

[After school Daniel practices karate from his book inside his apartment, feeling some karate skills might come in handy next time he sees Johnny and his 'gang of assholes'. Daniel attempts to copy the photographs of kicks in the book laid out on the table. Daniel turns around for a moment to see the Okinawan man, Mr. Miyagi, holding a toolbox]

"I am here to fix sink." [Mr. Miyagi said as he entered the room, Daniel nods]

"Right- go ahead." [Daniel lets Mr. Miyagi pass as he continues to kick, now working a sweat. The old man draws his tools- placing his toolbox on the kitchen counter -and begins fixing the faucet. He looks over to Daniel again and examines the exercise]

"Karate?" [The old man asked]

"Yeah." [The tan, and now sweaty, boy answered]

"Learn from book?"

"Yeah-" [Daniel began, panting slightly as it was difficult to exercise and speak at the same time for him] "and a few nights at the Y in Newark."

"What happened to eye?" [Mr. Miyagi squints, looking up at Daniel- noticing his various wounds]

"I- fell off my bike." [Daniel lies. Mr. Miyagi looks at his hand, its bruised because of what happened at soccer tryouts days ago. The hand wound is not very noticeable, but noticeable at that- for the old man noticed the little things]

"Then, what happened to hand?" [Mr. Miyagi asked, catching onto Daniel's lies. Daniel stops and gives him a look- he doesn't care to talk about it, he doesn't know the old man and believes that he will probably never see him again afterwards. He resumes his exercise as Mr. Miyagi finishes fixing the sink, and soon enough, the old man leaves the apartment with the door open. Daniel doesn't bother to close it either, he's focused on his exercise- more so now that he is reminded by the reason he must defend himself. Moments later, Scarlette exits her apartment and looks into Daniel's apartment before heading down the stairs. The tall, tan, and teen girl wore a red leather jacket with a yellow and black logo on the back of it- her collar is popped and she wore her black sleeveless gi under it]
