"Jason!"
I quickly covered my mouth. Thank god I whispered. I felt my tail tail tuck between my legs. My ears flatten. I'm frightened, I didn't know that the other cat boy would be him. Rose jumped from my shoulder into the air in front of me. "Rose!" I whispered. She looked back at me. "Get back here!" I scolded.
Rose growled quietly. "Collide is over there! This may be our only chance to interact! You'll lose your chance." I sighed. She gave me a sadden expression.
"Fine, but we're going together." Rose stood for a second, then immediately she jumped over to me. I felt her claws tugging at my shoulder. I march forward ready to turn the corner of the alley way. Ready to turn the corner a hand pulls me forward. Losing my balance I started to fall forward, a hand pulls me to the left. I catch myself on the wall. Looking up Jason was looking at the alley. His ears alerted and listening around. I didn't realize but mine were too. "Jason, what are y-"
"Shh." he quietly silenced me. I shut my mouth. He stared down to the side. "They're coming." He perks up.
"Wha-Who?" I stutter slightly. He pushes me back. "What's hap-PENING!" I yell in complete panic. He jumped in the air while grabbing my hands. We were hovering. He took a step forward and stepped onto a roof. I tried to follow, but instead he pulled me forward. I gently felt the roof tile under my feet.
"The Nightcrawlers." he whispered. I gave a confused face.
"Wha-"
"Collide!" interrupted the small cat. She pounced off my shoulder and onto the male feline. Jason took out his hands. She landed gracefully onto his palms.
"You must be Y/N's sprite." Jason said looking down Rose tilted her head. "What's your name?"
Rose stood up. "Rose. Where's Collide?"
"Right to the point." he said removing his hands as Rose hovered. "He's scouting at the moment." he says pointing back. "Speaking of scouting." he squats down as he pulls me down too. "I think that's my queue." he whispers as what looked like shadows slithered into the light.
Jason summoned a dagger. It balanced perfectly on his index finger. The shadow-like creatures slithered at the edge of the light. Jason flickered the dagger swiftly, it spun quickly down towards the black blob. It landed inside the goop. It stood still for a sec until a bright light pierced through the body and attached to the other blob. It continued connecting to other blobs before exploding into the light. There were goo and glass everywhere. Jason looked around. "That should take care of it for now." He said standing up and looking at me. "Sorry we had to meet again....this way?" he said questioning himself. "No wait, we met again in odd circumstances." He said with a nervous smile. "I'm bad at these things."
I gave him a shocked and confused face. I open my mouth to speak only for him to interrupt.
"I know you want an explanation." He said taking out a small paintbrush and bottle. Just like the one Ink gave me. I thought to myself. Jason dips it in, he then grabs the top of the hair of the brush and presses down. The paint dripped down onto the floor as the liquid expanded and started to open a portal. He looked down then at me. "I can explain everything in there." He said. I took a step back worried. Jason grabs my hand and jumps. My eyes widen. I scream. I huddled myself as I fell. I didn't feel any type of impact. I opened my eyes and saw an empty white space. Jason let me go. He pulls down his hood and looked at me with a sincere expression. "S-Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." He said with a nervous smile.
"Better be. I could've died jumping off that roof." I snapped. Resting my hands on each arm. "Look I'm just conf-"
"Collide!" Yelled Rose interrupting me. Rose hovered over to Jason.
"I don't know if Collide made it." Said Jason with a smile. Rose pouted.
"I know he did! I wanna say hi!" she wailed. Jason scoffed.
"Collide quit being a douche and come say hi to your old friend." Said Jason looking over his shoulder. A small orange cat perched its self on his shoulder. He grumbled and looked at her.
"I didn't miss you." He said with a flick of the tail and looking away.
"I missed you!" She wailed hovering over to him and hugged him. The cat just growled as Rose hugged him happily.
"Hello!" Called Dream from a distance. I looked behind and see him approaching. He gave a cute and soft smile. He radiated happiness. I looked at him annoyed. "Is something wrong?" I sighed annoyed. I don't want to cause anything. "Y/N W-What's wrong?"
I puffed. "Nothing, just annoyed." Rose looked over and rolled her eyes.
"She's annoyed about being in this situation." Started Rose. "She's having some trouble at home." Dream gave a defeated expression.
"We're sorry. I know something like this is stressful." Said Dream stepping forward. He grabbed my hands. "It's hard I know it is, but we're here together on this."
I looked down defeated. "Thank you," I say quietly.
Dream smiled. "Oh goodness, that reminds me. Jason, I need to speak with you!"
"What about Y/N?" He asked. Dream flinched.
"Oh, can you take her home?" Jason looked at me. I sighed. I wasted my time. I pouted.
Just as before he dips the brush and lets out some paint. He opened a portal as he looked over. "Come on." I looked at Dream then back to him. I walked through with him. "Sorry about dragging you out here," he said. "I didn't know this would've happened." I shook my head.
"Don't sweat it," I say looking at my doorstep. "I just wanna sleep," I say with a yawn. Jason smiled.
"Sorry again." He said stepping back into the portal. I looked at him then back at my door. I walked to the side of the house and hopped onto the tree. I climbed up the branch and slid through the window. I step onto the wooden floor and closed the window.
"I'm so tired," I say with a yawn. I plop onto my bed and lay down. "I just want to sl-" I cut myself off. There's a presence. A hostile one. What the-
