Chapter 10- Nice to meet you

My nose twitched slightly as my eyes fluttered a bit. I groaned and slightly lifted my hand. Trying to shoo whatever was making me wake up. A rough and wet substance was repeatedly touching my nose. I opened my eyes and tried to see what was in front of me. A small pink figure was looming down at me. My eyes quickly adjusted. "What the-"

"You're awake!" said the little figure.

"Oh, it's only you," I say moving to the side and grab my blanket again. 

"You ready to do some training?" I groaned semi ignoring the statement.

"No. I'm sleeping." Or at least trying to. "Let me sleep," I said quietly. I yawned as my eyes closed. I felt some movement on top of my head. I first I didn't mind it. Then I noticed. What the hell is on my head? I quickly stood up on my head. Rose hovered back and looked at me. I quickly lifted my hands and touched my head. This soft texture rubbed against my fingers. I quickly got up. I thrashed my blanket to the side as I ran up to my mirror. Slightly passing it quickly backtracked and looked at myself. Pink ears were sprouted from my head.

I gave a mortified expression. "What the- What the hell!" I stood back and felt this slight fear. I'm turning into a cat.

"No, your body is reacting well to becoming a Nekojin. I think it's your body getting used to it." I looked at her as she curled up in my blanket. "If you're so worried deactivate them." she says calmly while yawning. 

"What! I don't know how!" The small cat shrugged and fell asleep. I groaned. "Very helpful of you." I mumbled. I looked at myself again. "Furry." I tell myself jokingly. Then I see something crawl up from my backside. It was a pink fuzzy tail. I looked down at it in shock. "A tail!"  I looked back at the mirror. I gripped onto the ears and loudly groaned. 

"Honey?" I heard footsteps making their way to my door. I quickly ran to my bed. Rose jumped and hovered above me. I struggled to get the covers and get a pillow trying to cover my body. Rose hovered there confused. I looked at her in utter terror. 

"What are you do-"

"My mom is coming. I can't let her see you." I quickly grab her as the doorknob moved side to side. I pulled her under the covers with me. The door slowly opened. 

"Y/N are you alright?" she asking peering her head into the door. I felt her soft gaze look at me. I shivered. "She's still asleep. Goodness, she scares me when she screams in her sleep." She opens the door more and approached the bed. "Honey, wake your ass up. You're going to be late!" School...I forgot about school! My mom places a hand on my shoulder and gently starts to move me. "Psst, wake up." 

I groaned and yawned, trying to act as if I have woken. "What," I said slowly. 

"School and breakfast is ready as well." She said looking down at me. "Hurry up if you want me to give you a ride to your friend's house." With that, she left the room and closed the door behind her. 

I quickly got up. "How do I make them go away!" I said looking at Rose. The small feline shrugged.

"Just make them go away." 

"Oh yeah cause that's helpful." I scrambled out of bed. I quickly changed my outfit to simple joggers and a T-shirt. I grabbed a sweater. "This should cover it up." I put the sweater on and lifted up the hoodie. I pulled it forward a bit to get most of it across my head. I lowered my ears to make it fit better. This feels so weird. Then I tucked my tail into my joggers. After I looked over to Rose. "Can you tell?" I ask. She sat on the edge of the bed and looked at me. She shook her head. "Positive?" She nodded. I sighed and gave myself another look in the mirror. "Let's see if I last a day."
