Dragon in the Sea.

Getting to know each other. Part 6

Monday came way to soon for Drake , his bad mood wasn't over yet , he had some heavy discussions with his mom during the weekend about using the car to visit his grandfather .She didn't cave in to his arguments and bad attitude towards her ,according to her ,he had a chance on friday and he blew it . He had to start all over again gaining her  trust . Drake didn't speak to her on sunday and barely came out of his room . He was stuborn. But so was she , she left a sandwich in front of his room , but he refused to eat it . Instead he had a pizza delivered . So the atmosphere was rather cold between them. He took his back pack and went down the stairs , his mom wasn't there , she probably left for work . "Thank God , at least I don't have to talk to her !" Drake was relieved . He grabbed his bike , cursed at it and glanced at his car beeing held captive again by the wicked witch !

He tried to pay attention in class but this was one particular boring teacher,he couldn't even fake beeing interrested, so he was prepared. Drake took a seat way back in the classroom and kept a low profile. His mind wandered off, his hand with the pen in it was scribbling on a paper in front of him.Suddenly the teacher called out his name, apparently his low profile wasn't low enough. He got startled and dropped his pen on the floor, he didn't know how to answer so he pointed at his pen and tried to avoid her question by almost disappearing under his desk in search for his missing pen. Luckily she just moved on to the next student and Drake heard the question this time . "Damn , I knew this answer too." he kept looking for his pen and finaly found it . As he came up from under his desk ,his gaze was drawn to a pair of eyes on the paper he was drawing on , they were undeniable Sea's eyes. He stared at the paper , he hadn't even noticed he was drawing something ,let alone in such detail. He was just doodling with his pen , how come this was such an accurate sketch of his eyes. He kept looking at them , it was like they were looking back at him , his mind went back to their last moment on friday together. He was wondering if he would bump into him at school today , probably not , they were in totally different majors . Why was he feeling disappointed by that fact ?

Sea took his lunchbox and was looking for a quiet space , he wanted to avoid the bullies and that anoying Drake guy . He found a spot under a tree outside , there were tables to sit but it was hot outside so the tree gave him some shade . No one even noticed he was there , he ate his lunch and was looking forward to go to work after class . He was so proud of himself , he told his dad about the job and even he was surprised and gave him a few compliments for beeing determined to get a job and save money for a car . He promised to pay a part of the car but the drivers lessons were not really his thing , he would get too nervous and was afraid he'd lose his temper . So Sea would probably have to go find a licensed driver that would teach him . He looked in the distance and noticed someone familiar , "Damn , that Drake dude !" He quickly moved so he was hidden , he kept an eye on him till he was out of sight. " That was close , good thing I sat on the ground so he couldn't see me ." But then in the corner of his eye he saw the bully gang coming in his direction. So ...lunch was over , he closed his box , took his bag and made his way inside . Gosh , this was weary keeping track of all of them so he could stay out of harms way . He bumped into someone while rushing through the hallway and dropped a few papers he was holding for his next class , he bent down to pick them up and  mumbled sorry a few times  while he was gathering his belongings when he heard the person chuckle, he looked up and met Drake's eyes who was smiling at him ,he snickered " Sea , we have to stop meeting like this. "teasingly speaking.

Sea's face turned a soft pink on his cheecks and he could feel his heart beating in his throat . He got up and tried to avoid looking in Drake's eyes . He kept re-aranging his papers and said he had no time to talk his class was about to start . He turned to leave but Drake grabbed his arm...again! Sea looked down at the hand on his arm and made it clear with a fierce stare he better let go . Seeing those eyes turn dark again , Drake let go and put his hand in the air as he meant to say sorry . " I just wanted to offer you a lift after school , I will bring you to the pet shop ...ok?"he said , "I am just beeing a friend who'd like to get to know you better." his eyes looked sincere . Sea hesitated but the bell rang and he was late so he just said "Ok ok , pick me up here after school , I really have to go to class now, bye!" and he rushed off.

Drake's mood went up, seeing Sea is like taking a happy pill. That was some quick thinking offering him a ride ....but wait , he didn't have his car , he facepalmed himself "So stupid of me !"He then imagined them both riding on his bike , Sea behind him holding on to his body...He got a little excited with that prospect , but why exactly ?Did he like Sea ....not just like like in a friendly kind of way , but the not so innocent kind of like. He was surprised at his own thoughts , he never even looked at a girl in the past , why would this boy be different . He probably just intrigued him , why would he be interrested in Sea that way . Maybe it is about time he checked out some of the girls in school , his testosterone was acting up...he was still single so it was probably that fact that explained his weird behaviour , he figured getting a girl this semester would get his mind in the right setting. In the meantime, Sea was just a friend ! Wait didn't the bell rang about ten minutes ago ....damn he was late again !

Sea looked at the clock every other minute or so , his afternoon class was biology and they had to do some experiments with plants .Nomally this was his favorite subject but now he got distracted by the time going slowly towards four o'clock , the end of the schoolday. Why did he accept his offer , he should have said no . Maybe he could sneak past him and leave him standing in the parking lot . " Sea , you are a coward , you're too nice to do that kind of thing ." he said to himself . "Oh wel, it is just a short drive to the shop so it would be faster by car." So he wouldn't have to put up with him for long . He felt relieved and when the bell rang ,he grabbed his things and went to the parking lot.He was waiting there for a while but he didn't see Drake or even his car , did he forget?? Maybe he was held up in class , Sea would give it another five minutes ,and then he would go by himself , he hated beeing late .Pete was so nice to him he wanted to be a model employee. He heard a bell ringing and turned around , there was Drake , riding a ....bike!!No way he was getting on that thing!

 Drake stopped next to him and gave him an apologetic smile "Sorry , I totally forgot to tell you I was riding my bike to school today , I hope you don't mind sitting on the backseat of my bike ?" Sea looked at the small space behind Drake , he would have to squeeze himself close to Drake and hold on tight or he would probably fall off the bike. "It's ok , I can walk to the pet shop, you don't have to give me a ride , it is only a short distance from school." Sea said quickly , happy to decline the offer . Drake wasn't taking no for an answer and grabbed his backpack of his shoulder ...."Hey ,give that back!!" " I will ,if you let me give you that ride , you agreed I could take you !" Drake countered his refusal. Sea noticed he was serious about it and he would not get his belongings back if he didn't take the ride , so with a deep sigh he surrendered and sat down behind Drake . He was looking for a place to put his hands when Drake grabbed his wrists and folded his arms around his waist . "Hold on , I don't want you to fall off , so don't be shy , just grab me tightly." Sea got flustered again, good thing Drake couldn't see his face right now. Beeing so close his chest against his back , he could feel his heartbeat going up , he could only hope Drake didn't notice .

Drake was riding real slow , avoiding the bumps in the road , he enjoyed the warmth of Sea's arms around his waist and his chest cuddled up against his lower back. Hey , what was he thinking again , he should stop this train of thought at once . He shook his head and tried to concentrate on the road ahead. They were almost at the pet shop . "Are you ok back there??"he wanted to know ,since Sea was so quiet during the ride ."I'm ok , just trying not to fall of , but it seems we are almost there , you can drop me off here , I'll walk the last bit ." he let go and was planning to jump off. Drake was startled he suddenly let go of him and squeezed the brakes , so instead of Sea jumping off ,he slammed against his back and hurt his lip ."Auwch , why did you stop so sudden??" he touched his lip and there was blood . He accidently bit his lower lip and now it was getting swollen and bleeding . Drake removed his hand and lifted his chin up , he looked at the bleeding lip and with his thumb he caressed the blood away.Sea stared at him , this was way too close , he grabbed his backpack and got himself clear of this boy who was messing with his mind and heart . Drake stood there thinking the same , he looked at the blood on his thumb and was searching for a hanky in his pocket , he didn't bring one so he just put his thumb in his mouth and tasted Sea's blood .
