Dragon in the Sea.

Fingers crossed , they'll say yes ! Part 48

Drake opened the door and he felt Sea gripping at his hand even harder , he was still nervous , but he wasn't planning on letting him go anytime soon so he gave an encouraging squeeze back and pulled him along to look for his mom and Steven. They found them in the living room , drinking a glass of wine and making light conversation as it seemed ,they were smiling and laughing . Drake looked confused at his mom , not knowing what was going on ... "Hi son , hi Sea , how was work? You seem to come home rather late today , busy day at the shop?" his mom enquired casually. "I'm sorry we are late for dinner mom , a kid set some of the guinea pigs free so I helped Sea and Pete catch them , we chased the little bastards for over an hour till we caught them ..." Drake chuckled . His mom and Steven burst into laughter "Oh God that must have been a sight to see , you guys running after them...I bet they were quicker then you !" Elyn kept giggling wiping the tears of laughter from her eyes. Steven offered her a tissue from the box on the table . "Well I guess you guys worked up an appetite , good thing Elyn invited us to dinner then , I can't wait to taste that fresh made soup she is bragging about !" Steven laughed , he was happy , he didn't have a nice relaxing evening in quit some time so Elyn's invitation was a welcome change to the lonely evening he was going to spend at home . 

"Well ,on that note , let's eat , come on boys , the dinner table is set , I'll tell Nana she can serve."she got up from the couch , took her glass wine with her and Steven followed her example by taking his glass with him . Sea looked surprised , his dad wasn't a drinker , but hey , if it could loosen him up a bit , he might go along with what they were about to discuss...him living with Drake , the love of his life! They sat at the table and Nana gave everyone a big bowl of freshly made soup , she also put a basket on the table with homebaked bread , still warm, fresh out of the oven , Drake let out a moan" Hmmm mom , that smell's delicious , you also baked bread ??" he said incredulous. "I don't take credit for the bread , thats all Nana , but the soup is mostly done by me , Nana supervised !" she smiled at Steven who seemed to focus on his food almost salivating in his bowl. "Elyn this looks and smells amazing , I can't tell how long it's been since I ate freshly made soup and bread , all I eat are snacks or microwaved foods , even the food made by my housekeeper is always re-heated since I don't have regular work hours , so this is a real treat , thank you !" Steven said sincerely. "You're welcome , please enjoy !"  

And with that said everyone at the table started to eat , Drake grabbed a few pieces of the fresh bread and gave some to Sea , who blushed while accepting them . Drake was always looking after him first . He put some butter on his bread and started eating , the soup was really delicious and all around the table there were only content sounds while they enjoyed their food. Nana had to bring a second serving of bread while the large casserole of soup was emptied completely . Steven sighed and leaned back on the chair rubbing his stomach "Well that was amazing , it was your first time cooking soup ? I guess you have a talent for cooking then , maybe you should take up a new carreer ?" he chuckled . "I wouldn't go that far Steven , but I discovered it is quit relaxing to cook , so after the stressfull day at work beeing able to cook and enjoy a nice dinner , yess I like it , especially when I can share my cooking without everyone running from the table . Drake used to order pizza behind my back as I was so bad at cooking , but now with Nana's help I might cook more often as he seems to like my cooking." she grabbed Drake's hand and gave it a squeeze and Drake smiled back at her and nodded agreeingly . "Yess mom , I liked the soup very much , and I promise to be a guinea pig from now on for all your other foodexperiments taught by Nana . " he chuckled . Sea started laughing " Damn , I didn't know we missed a guinea pig at the pet shop , luckily I already caught this one !" and he flung his arms around Drake kissing him on his cheeck . Drake startled a bit but then realised what he said was funny and how Sea reacted was hilarious , he started laughing and his mom and Steven couldn't help but laugh along with them.
