Emotional talks. Part 49

Sea and Drake were sitting on the couch ,holding hands ,waiting  till one of their parents would start to speak, Sea still a bit flustered from their kissing in the bedroom . He looked a bit embarrassed at his dad , but he didn't seem to notice anything ,figures ... his dad is clueless about love and feelings all together , oh how he wished his dad would fall in love one day , he's been alone for far too long ! " Euhm , Elyn will you explain what we talked about , I'm not that good with words and I think you should tell them as  they will live in your house off course , I'll add if needed ....ok?" he asked . She nodded and scraped her throat a bit "Well boys , we did agree on moving in together , but as you probably must know , there are rules , not too many as you are both adults , but still..." she paused and looked kinda stern at their faces , Sea was already a lot paler and Drake was waiting for the list of rules to be summed up... couldn't be that bad , as long as they were together .

"First ...no slacking of at school ,that's a given , second ... no inappropriate behavior , we know you are young and in love , but I don't want to walk in on any 'naughty' scenes in my living room "she airquoted that one word explicitly."Be considerate , you don't live here alone , me and Nana live here too. Third ...you keep your own room clean , we are not your maids ! Four ...and that goes for Sea" she paused , he lifted his head in surprise , "Keep in regular contact with your dad , a text or a phonecall a day is not much to ask for ." Sea nodded fiercely in acceptance of this rule. "Five ...at least two times a month stay over at your dads house , alone or together , you boys decide ..." She looked at Stephen " Did I forget something , or do you wanna add something ?" "Well , I can't say anything to your son , but Sea , I wan't you to be happy , but if this living together doesn't work out ...you are always welcome back home off course , as living together can sometimes prove to be difficult , you are in love but it's not all roses , just know I love you son , and I will always be there for you , as to Drake ...you take care of my precious boy ...you hear , he is gold , I hope you know that !" 

"Sir , I know he is gold , that's why I love him so much , and I promise I will take care of him , I'll treat him like the most precious thing on earth !"  Sea blushed heavily , Drake's words were making him shy but also proud , he knew he would never intentionally hurt him and his happiness was a priority . But he felt the same way about Drake , he loved him so much , if he ever lost him , it would be like cutting out his heart ! "Dad ...thank you ....for understanding us , for letting us be together , for accepting us loving each other ...I know this must be hard ..." Stephen lifted his hand to stop Sea from saying more. "Son , as long as you are happy , I am happy , love is love , your mom already blessed you and she was always right , life is too short , if you find 'the one ' boy or girl ...don't let them slip away because of what others may think , be happy , live your life and love each other to the fullest , me and your mom had so little time together , I wish for you to grow old together ...I really do!" His eyes filled with tears , actually everyone in the room had tears rolling down their faces , this was so beautifully said and Sea knew he meant every word as it was spoken from the heart .

Sea jumped up and went to his father who stood up and took him in his embrace , they both cried " I love you dad , you have been the best dad anyone could wish for , mom would be proud of you .." Sea managed to say through his tears . "Son, you and  I know that I've could have been a better dad , my work came first and I left raising you to other people , but my love for you isn't any less , and by letting you live with the love of your life , I hope I can make up for the past ... but if there is anything you need from me or I can do for you ...just let me know , and don't be shy to ask Elyn for help if you need it , she raised a fine young man on her own ...so she knows what to do ! " he chuckled and nodded at Elyn . Drake smiled hearing the nice words from Stephen , their future together was about to start , now they only needed to discuss the moving part , when?... beeing the most important thing he wanted to know ...as soon as possible he hoped, as he didn't want to be apart from Sea for much longer .

" Well , since we all had our say and the important matters are out of the way , I suggest we plan the move over the weekend , I hope you boys can hold on for two more days , you can sort the things out that you'll be needing here and Drake can make room for Sea ..." Elyn said . " My closet is already organised and I made room for Sea's clothes , I think he just needs to see wich items he wants to bring and his schoolbooks and whatnot ." Drake said quickly. "Wow , you even cleaned out your closet Drake , that's a first !" Elyn smiled . "Yeah about that mom ...I think I might need some money to buy new clothes , I've been a bit rash in throwing out stuff !" he chuckled .They all started laughing "When he told me he wanted to go shopping , I taught I had to put up with a naked Drake or in his pj's !" Sea chuckled ,everyone laughed at that and Drake blushed "Baby don't kiss and tell , they don't need to know everything !" he winked but with a grin from ear to ear , he was so happy , two days and they would be together ....forever if it was up to him!

Stephen said it was getting late and he wanted to go home , Sea pouted a little but Drake pulled him aside " Don't be sad baby , go home with your dad , have some quality time together . He'll love that , and maybe you can start sorting out your belongings that you want to move to OUR room , he put the emphasis on our  , Sea couldn't help but smile . "It's really happening babe , we can live together , I love you so much and you make me so happy , it feels like a dream , tell me I am not dreaming !" Drake just leaned forward and kissed him " You feel that ...that's not a dream , that's real ...and I plan of giving you lots and lots of kisses , every morning"...he kissed his left cheeck ," every evening" ...he kissed the right cheeck , and al the moments I feel like kissing you in between too , he kissed his lips again , he could feel Sea was smiling like an idiot , he was so happy ...Drake planned on making him smile every day !

The car ride home was quiet , Sea was thinking of something to say to his father ...but although he was happy to go live with Drake it felt like leaving his dad all alone was somehow betraying him, that's probably not the right word but he felt guilty nonetheless." Dad ...?" he whispered with a hoarse voice , he was trying to keep himself from crying . "Yes son ?" " Are you really ok with me living with Drake , I feel terrible for leaving you behind. " he bowed his head like he was ashamed . His father took his hand and squeezed it comforting "Son , you are an adult , you need to live your own life , I love you and I accept the fact that children grow up and at a certain time in life they leave their home and go off on their life path to realise their dreams , all I can hope for is that you'll live a happy life , and if Drake is the one that makes you happy , who am I to stop you from finding your own happiness together . Just know I am your father , I love you no matter what and my door is always open , and that goes for Drake too since he'll be my son-in-law. Sea got flustered "Dad ....don't say that ,we're not married or engaged...!" Stephen laughed "Not yet, but it will happen , Drake is totally smitten with you , I bet he'll propose to you sooner or later ...!" "Daaaaad , stop that , what about our deal not to make fun of me !" "I didn't forget , but I recall I get to tease you at least a few times more , since it's been a while ...so live with it !" Sea crossed his arms and pouted . Stephen saw that and snickered " I bet Drake loves that pouty face too , that's adorable .." "Daaaaad" Stephen laughed all the way home , good thing his son wasn't sad anymore .
