Dragon in the Sea.

Dinner date . Part 22

Drake was nervous as hell, it was almost six o'clock , he didn't get to see him at school all day and now he was getting prepared  for dinner with his mom and Sea . He got out of the shower almost an hour ago and tried five different outfits , he wanted to look good for Sea . How stupid was that , he never would imagined trying to look good for another guy . He checked his looks one last time in the mirror , he finally chose a black jeans with a simple white t-shirt , it made his chest look very broad , his muscles were defined like in a sculpture . He flexed his arms a few times and winked at himself in the mirror. "Looking pretty good  !" He went downstairs and checked if the dinner table looked ok. Nana had made some delicious food , the smell coming from the kitchen made Drake's mouth water. His mom came downstairs , she wore a nice dress, nothing like the clothes she would wear to go to the office . She had her hair loose and she looked relaxed , not like Drake who was getting more and more nervous by the minute. "Mom , you look really nice this evening ,is that a new dress?" Drake flattered her . He was really hoping she would love Sea as much as he did , after all he was planning to have him as her son-in-law . He chuckled at that thought . "What are you smiling al about , you seem in a very good mood , that boy must be something , you look totally different !" his mom said with a curious voice . "Mom , it's just me , same old Drake , what would be different about me ?" 

"Well , you look the same off course , but you seem nervous , and you act different !" "Is there something you want to tell me?" she asked. Drake thought this would be a good opportunity to tell his mom about his feelings towards Sea , but how would she react , maybe dinner would be very awkward then , and Sea and him weren't even an item... yet , she might say something at the dinner table that would scare Sea. Better not ... "Mom , I'm just really excited , I never had a friend , you know I am a loner most of the times , so having a friend over is a big thing for me ."he thought he gave a perfect answer and she nodded agreeingly. "You are probably right son, I am surprised as well you finally made a friend after all these years in school , he must be something special !"  Drake thought 'If you only knew how special he is to me !' The bell rang , Drake's heartbeat went up immediately , his mom went to open the door and he was trying to calm himself down , pretending to be as cool ,calm and collected as usual . But ever since he met Sea that was so hard to do !

"Come in , please , make yourself at home , Drake is in the living room , just walk through , I'll hang your coats ." Drake first saw a man who looked like Sea but older,he had glasses on and a little bit of grey in his hair ,off course , he must be his dad . Then a nervous Sea appeared behind him , he looked cute beeing all shy , he wore a jeans and a nice shirt buttoned up all the way and even a tie . He clearly made an effort to dress up .Sea's father walked up to him and to his surprise he embraced him out of the blue , "Thank you for saving my son , he told me exactly what happened and if it wasn't for you he would of drowned !" Drake stood there stunned , he awkwardly patted his back and said , "No need to thank me Sir , I 'm just glad I was at the right place ,at the right time ,I won't let anything bad happen to Sea!" He looked at Sea over his dad's shoulder and he could see he was thankfull for saying this to his dad . He let go of Drake and turned to Sea "Well son enjoy your dinner , I'll see you later , call me to pick you up , alright ?" he was heading to the door when suddenly his mom called out "Wait !"

"Would you like to stay and have dinner , we have more than enough , Nana made a huge amount of delicious food , so you are welcome to join!" Drake and Sea looked surprised at each other . "Well , if you insist , a nice home cooked meal sounds great , I'm sick of all the hospital food and quick snacks between two patients , thank you for inviting me , as long as the boys don't mind if I stay?" he looked at Drake and Sea . Sea thought it was awkward but Drake thought if his dad and my mom talk to each other , they won't notice me as much , so I can give all my attention to Sea .... "No , no Sir , the more the merier as they say , please stay ." Drake said approvingly. "Well then , I like to accept your invitation , thank you ...?" "Elyn , my name is Elyn . "Drake's mom stated . "I'm Steven , nice to meet you ." he put out his hand and they shook hands briefly. Drake and Sea looked surprised at each other , did something click between them ? That would be so strange . Steven followed Drake's mom to the kitchen and the boys stayed in the dining room , Drake felt a little awkward , how to break the ice ? "Euh , your dad seems very nice , you look like him, minus the glasses !" he chuckled . Sea was shyly looking at the ground "Your mom is very nice too , my dad is not good around people if they are not patients , but he seems relaxed and it was nice of her to invite him, thank you ." 

Drake took a step closer to Sea and grabbed his hand " No need to thank me ,mom invited him, I just wanted to see you ,I missed you today at school. You look nice , you even took the trouble of wearing a shirt and tie , did you do this specially for me ?" Drake was flirting , now his mom was out of the room he had the opportunity to court Sea a bit , he wanted to make his intentions clear , he was so in love with him already, he wanted him more than anything else .... "No , not for you , silly , why would I wear a tie for you , but if someone invites you formaly to dinner you have to make an effort ,right??" Drake looked disappointed by that answer . Sea saw his eyes go a bit sad , he bent a little forward and whispered " Maybe just a little bit for you as well."  Drake's face lit up and a smile appeared instantly, Sea could tell he was happy with that answer. Now they both were flirting .They kept staring at each other, the tension was slowly building up ,Drake was holding his hand an with his thumb he softly caressed Sea's fingers one by one , He moved one step closer , Sea froze like a statue , at least he didn't back away . Drake thought  'Another step and I can lean forward to kiss him !' He lifted his foot and in the corner of his eye he saw movement....

 Drake's mom came back to tell dinner was on the table and startled the boys by sneaking up on them, they jumped away from each other with guilty faces as if they were caught in the act ! But his mom saw everything , she realised there was something going on ...she smiled and put her arm around Sea . " I hope you like to eat , Nana made al Drake's favorite dishes , you will 'love' them too , I'm sure of it !" She guided him to the table and sat him next to Drake , "You boys sit here , enjoy , I'll just sit there with Steven." Drake saw his mom sit at the head of the table , he usually sat there , but then he wouldn't be able to sit next to Sea , did she do this on purpose , she put up an extra plate for Sea's dad but she could have seated them next to each other . He looked at her with a questioning look in his eyes. She looked back and winked at him , Drake almost fell of his chair , his mom had already figured it out , she knew what was going on. She nodded at him and smiled as if to say , 'It is alright son , you have my permission ,I am ok with this !' Drake's face went from astonished to overly filled with joy , a smile from ear to ear appeared and he nodded to his mom , his mouth formed silently  'thank you , I love you mom'  she replied back ' Love you too' without saying it out loud ." Please dig in , enjoy , don't stop till your stomachs are full , Nana will be sad if we don't try all her delicious food !" Steven said thank you and started to serve everyone like a true gentleman, starting wit Drake's mom , she was blushing , it has been a while since she had been treated this nice . Drake looked at his mom beeing happy , she deserved someone nice too , maybe this wasn't so bad , if she was happy , he and Sea could be happy too . All he wanted now was to tell Sea's dad .....oh and off course Sea too.
