#04 Love Letter

Chapter 8

Jinsoul had packed three days worth of clothes before fetching Sooyoung from her apartment. When she had helped the taller latter to pack the stuff in the trunk of the car, they drove off to see Sooyoung's parents first. Once they had reached the familiar spot, Jinsoul went to retrieve their belongings from the car before she took Sooyoung's hand in hers as they stepped into Sooyoung's parents house. When the door had swung open, Mr Ha took Sooyoung into his arms while Mrs Ha hugged Jinsoul, a weird turn of events. When Jinsoul had unloaded the stuff in Sooyoung's room, the parents of the older one asked them to meet them at the dining table. When everyone was seated, Sooyoung decided to address the elephant in the room.

" Omma, appa, I'm getting married, this time, it's for real. "

" Sooyoungie, are you sure ? "

Sooyoung took Jinsoul's hand in hers before she nodded.

" I'm sure. I made mistakes in the past, one of them was to let go of the love of my life, and now that I have her again, I don't want to lose her, ever. "

" Mr Ha and Mrs Ha, I was here before, a few years back, to ask you for Sooyoung's hand in marriage. I'm here again to ask you once more, will you let me marry Sooyoung ? I promise to take care of her and cherish her my whole life. "

Mr Ha couldn't help but smile. His little girl was getting married, he was elated. However, the only concern left was Mrs Ha, the stricter of the two. Mrs Ha took Jinsoul's and Sooyoung's hand before she broke out into a smile.

" Jinsoul, Sooyoung, your happiness means the world to us. If marrying each other makes you happy, then go for it. I might still be a little upset, but I'm trying, this is something very new to me, but as long as you are happy, that's all I could ever wish for. It will take awhile for me to get used to this, but I love you both, and I want the best for you two. So, I give you my blessing. "

Sooyoung couldn't help but squeal as she kissed her baby on her soft cheeks. They were surprised but with the unexpected results, they couldn't believe it. So after staying the night, Jinsoul and Sooyoung had one more stop to make. Upon arriving at the house, Mrs Jung welcomed the two with open arms as they rested in her embrace.

" Mrs Jung. "

" Sooyoung, it's so nice to see you again. I hope you are to deliver some good news. "

" Mom, I know that you know about it. You literally keep up with the news and gossip. "

" I do, but I want to hear it from you two. "

" Yeah, so Mrs Jung, I made a mistake back then, which was to break your daughter and let go of her. I was stupid, I let the emotions got the better of me and missed the chance of marrying such a sweet girl. Now that I have this chance, I want to reassure you that I'm not going anywhere. My world would only exist because Jinsoul is in it. She makes me the happiest and Mrs Jung, I will do whatever it takes to prove to you that I want your daughter, for the rest of my life. "

" Ma... "

" I'm not opposing to this marriage, but Sooyoung, you break her heart again, you are going to get it from me. I give you my blessing. Don't forget me when you get married. "

" We won't. "

" One more thing, who's taking whose surname ? "

The two freezed. That's right, if they were getting married, someone had to give up their last name.

" Sooyoung, since I proposed, do I get the right to call you Mrs Jung ? "

" I mean, Jung Sooyoung, as much as I love you, Jung Sooyoung sounds a little... "

" But I proposed. "

" I know but Ha Jinsoul doesn't even sound bad. "

" That's true. "

" So ? What do you say ? Mrs Ha ? "

" I like the sound of that. "
