#04 Love Letter

Chapter 1

1 year later...

Sooyoung was walking down the pavement with her girlfriend. She was happy. She really was. As she held her hand, they saw the different sights of South Korea that they did not notice due to their busy schedule. Sooyoung was working at a dance studio. She is currently working as a teacher there for beginners and intermediate students. Her passion for dancing never left. It was the only thing besides her girlfriend that kept her alive. Sooyoung is also a professional dancer who doesn't just teach dance classes but also helps choreograph Kpop groups dances.

So who is her girlfriend ?

Meet Jungeun. Jungeun, though she had graduated with a major in dance, she decided to pursue something else, marketing which Sooyoung found slightly surprising but she still supported the latter anyways. How did all this happen ? About slightly more than a year back, Sooyoung had walked back to Jungeun's apartment, knocking on her door, she asked her for help, to help her forget about Jinsoul, and Jungeun was more than happy to. It was her dream to date her best friend who she drifted apart from. Now that she was hers, Jungeun couldn't be any happier. Sooyoung on the other hand was more than grateful for Jungeun who helped her through that painful journey.

Today was just another ordinary day for them. The simple dinner and an evening walk around the different neighbourhoods they visited. On the way home in Jungeun's car, Sooyoung's fatigue kicked in from all the back to back classes she had, she yawned and rubbed her eyes. Her partner on the other hand was nervous for some reason. However, seeing that Sooyoung had fallen asleep, she was calmer and more assured that her plan would work out well. So when they had reached back to Jungeun's apartment, Jungeun shook the older one slightly before she helped her get out of the car. Jungeun made it a point to let the older one open the door to her apartment because she had something vividly planned out. When Sooyoung opened that door, it was filled with balloons and pictures. The smell of flowers flooded the room as she saw the plucked petals scattered on the floor. She walked around, hand on her mouth as it was left ajar. Jungeun would smile at every gasped let out by the older one as she stood at her position with something in one hand behind her back. She called for Sooyoung and motioned her to sit down. Once Sooyoung had sat down, Jungeun cleared her throat as her heartbeat began to race rapidly.

" Sooyoung, my dearest, we have known each other for a long time. And you know that I love you with all my heart, there are so many things that I wish to tell you, but words just aren't enough when it comes to you. Thank you for being my best friend and lover, but this time, let's seal the deal. I want to be with you forever, will you make me the luckiest and happiest in the world, will you marry me ? "

Sooyoung was slightly taken aback, she actually wanted things to go slow, but she's at the age where she should have settled down already, and she was happy with Jungeun, so she nodded her head which lit up Jungeun's face. She put the ring on Sooyoung's fingers and they had a great night as they sealed it with a kiss.

When Sooyoung had told her parent's about the news, they were still upset, but they had come to terms that Sooyoung was never going to marry a guy. It did take Sooyoung a long time to convince her parents to accept who she was and when they finally did, Sooyoung was elated.
