Chapter 4

Now Jinsoul was in her studio doing a live stream. She liked the freedom she had and how she could interact with her fans. They do ask interesting questions like when she's releasing her new album or if she had any cool experiments that failed or memorable cooking experience. She did mention her university story about how the head chef was always trying to find fault for her, but she encouraged her fans to ignore those people and follow your dreams. When it was coming to the end of the live, a fan said a comment which made Jinsoul's eyes widen. She thought about it for a while before she read the question that had caught her attention.

" About the ring on your finger who is it from ? Or what is its importance ? "

Jinsoul took out the ring, stared at it for a good one minute before she continued.

" This ring, was given to me by my first lover. We're no longer together, but I'm still hoping that one day we will get back together. This person meant the world to me, and it's the reason why I believe in love, that love existed. "

She smiled as she looked at the ring before she put it back on her finger. She thanked her fans for a good time that day and ended the live stream before she went to song write in her studio. After that very live stream, fans started digging up her past which then became a topic on Koreaboo a few days later.

Just as she had finished reading the headlines, she receives a call.

" Jinsoul, we need you at the company. "

" Will you be picking me up Yubin ? "

" You know it. I brought two guards up, so they will escort you. There seems to be a lot of paparazzi outside of the company and we are doing our best. "

" I understand, thank you for this, and sorry, you have to clean up my mess. "

" Don't apologise, none of us are mad. We just want to talk to you. "

" Okay, I'm on my way. "

Jinsoul changes and sees two female guards outside her door. They drove to the company and they were greeted by flashing lights and reporters bombarding questions, targeted at Jinsoul. She could hear all the questions loud and clear but she chose to ignore them as the guards and Yubin helped clear a path for her. Until she heard a question which ringed in her ear.

" Is your first love Yves ? "

Overwhelmed by her anger and sadness, because it was the sad truth, she turned around for the first time to greet the press.

" You want answers ? Leave my friends alone. "

And she walked back to the company. There, besides Yubin, there was the CEO. As she took her seat, they began to question Jinsoul.

" How are you feeling ? Are you hurt ? "

" I'm fine, it's just very overwhelming. And no, I'm not hurt. "

" So who is this first love of yours ? "

" It's Yves. "

" The popular dancer ? "

" Yes. "

" Your fans are crazy, digging your past. "

" They're not fans if they invade my privacy. "

" Do you want us to talk with their company or would you like to settle this ? "

" Please don't drag her into this, news of her getting engaged just got out. Just, just say that we were good friends, however because of schedules, we couldn't meet up. "

" Okay, leave the rest to us, but are you okay Jinsoul ? I watched the live stream yesterday, you looked like you were in pain. "

So the CEO took the necessary actions against the media and soon enough, the media released another statement.

Meanwhile, Yves phone was blowing up, sasaengs were calling her non stop and she had no idea why until someone in the studio had told her about it. She quickly turned off her phone and searched articles relating to her online. And when she had seen the name, she immediately broke. How could she not ? Jinsoul was important to her, and to see her in a mess like that, she couldn't face it.

She doesn't know, after all these months, whether she wanted to check up on Jinsoul. But she plucked up her courage and did it anyway. Jinsoul looks at her phone in disbelief, the caller ID that popped on her screen was

Mon amour ( with a red heart )

She picks up the phone, but there was silence on the other line.

" Hello ? "

" Jinsoul ? It's me, Sooyoung. "

" Hi, how are you ? "

" I called to ask you that Jinsoul. How are you holding up with the press ? "

" I'm okay, I had some discussions with the company so they are handling the situation. I also told them not to involve you because, you know, I don't want you to be worried and bothered. "

" I hope you are okay Jinsoul. "

" I am, congratulations on the engagement. Take care. "

" You too. "

When they ended the call, both of them sighed, as if their thoughts were connected, their minds were just saying the same thing at that very moment.
