Third Person POV
It was a lovely late September day, the weather wasn't too hot, neither too cold, with a gentle breeze blowing by. The leaves were starting to change from green to red, orange and brown, signaling that autumn had started.
Three people were walking together to school, their first day of school to be precise. Yep, you guessed it. This trio being none other than Connor, Amaya and Greg, who were now 14 (or still 13 in Greg's case as he celebrates his birthday later on in the year).
Amaya and Greg were talking between themselves while Connor chose to stay a few steps behind them, lost in his thoughts.
"How is she so damn hot?", he thought, obviously thinking about his crush of I-lost-track-of-how-many-years, the one and only Amaya. She wasn't wearing anything showy, a pair of black, skinny, high-waisted jeans, a dark red t-shirt, red Converse, a black jacket wrapped around her waist with her hair down and her signature pink feather clip but to him, she looked like a goddess.
"Oof!"
His daydreaming about her was suddenly interrupted by someone pushing him to the inner side of the pavement.
"Huh?"
Amaya and Greg laughed before Amaya said,"You were so deep in your thoughts that you were about to crash into a lamppost." "You would have walked straight into it if Amaya didn't notice and push you away.", Greg continued.
"Oh, thank you", he replied while looking down, obviously embarrassed. "What were you thinking about?", Amaya asked. "Uhhh... nothing", he nervously replied. "Were you thinking about someone?", Greg asked while smirking. "N-n-no", he replied, feeling his face take a reddish colour.
Love was great and all, but the blushing, Connor absolutely hated it.
"Sureeeeee", Greg sarcastically replied making Connor blush more and Amaya giggle. "We can interrogate him another time, but now we have to get to school.", Amaya said. "Oh yeah, school! Don't want to be late on our first day!", Greg exclaimed.
"Hey Amaya!"
"Hi Jenny! Hi Marie! It's been so long since I last saw you!"
"I am going to walk to school with them, okay boys?", Amaya asked. "Sure, go ahead", Greg replied. "Bye, see you at school!", she said while walking away and to her other friends.
"Sooooo, who were you thinking about?", Greg asked Connor. "No one", he replied, while avoiding eye contact.
"You're lying"
"I'm not!"
"Yes you are"
"Why are you asking me if you will only accept one answer?"
"Fair point, but I still don't believe you."
"Why?"
"Because of your face"Connor groaned as he brought up his hand to touch his cheek. Yep, burning hot. He huffed, annoyed because he blushes so easily.
"You see my point now?", Greg asked and he got a nod in response from an irritated Connor. Greg chose not to continue asking him about his pretty obvious crush on Amaya to not continue annoying Connor.
"We're here", Greg said as he and Connor stood in front of the school gates. Amaya came over to them and linked arms with them (which made Connor's blush deepen).
"Are you ready for this new school year?", Amaya asked. "No", Connor replied under his breath but still nodded.
"Let's go and make this year the best one yet"
"How can she be always so positive?", Connor asked himself while walking through the school doors with his best friends right next to him.
And I finally published the first chapter! I know that this was probably boring, things will get more interesting as the story progresses.
Also, more than a 100 reads already!? When I had no real chapters published!? Wow, you guys are the best! Thank you!
I hope you enjoyed the first chapter and I'll hopefully see you soon with the next one.
