Buckle your seat belts dear readers, this is one hell of a chapter...

TW for description of violence from the cut (***) till the end of the chapter :)

The sound of metal clanking startled Catboy and Greg. It had mostly been a silent ride to where Night Ninja was taking them, hearing his occasional complaints about the Ninjalinos along the way.

The cage they were in had gone to a stop but started moving again shortly after they heard the sound of metal screeching, which they assumed was a door opening.

After a few minutes of moving again, they found themselves coming to a stop and the Ninjalinos removed the blanket covering their cage. They both winced at the sudden light they were faced with.

Night Ninja walked out from where he previously was, with his hands behind his back, stopping in front of the frightened heroes.

He grinned. "Well PJ Cowards, welcome to my hideout."

Catboy and Greg looked around them. They seemed to be next to a wall in what seemed to be a sports hall.

Night Ninja leaped towards the heroes, grabbed Catboy's hand and yanked him forwards to try and remove his bracelet once again. But like all his other attempts, he wasn't able to.

"Ugh, why won't it just come off!", he whined, throwing his hands in the air. "His one came off easily," he pointed to Greg, "but yours won't! It's like you glued it to your suit with super glue or something!" Catboy simply shrugged, he didn't know either.

Night Ninja huffed and shook his head, as if to gain some composure and calm himself down.

"Nevermind, I won't let some stupid bracelet get in the way of my plans. Ninjalinos, guard the cage until I get my stuff, and inform me immediately if that pesky owl shows up to save her pathetic friends," he ordered.

The heroes looked at each other, no words needed to explain the fear and confusion written on their faces, clearly worried about what was going to happen.

Owlette...

Both of them hoped that she was being cautious and trying to not get caught. She had told Catboy that she was coming to save them, but she had to be careful about what she did. If she got captured too, then they had a much lower chance of being able to escape from where they currently were, which they had no idea of.

"Hey Owlette, just wanted to let you know that we are in a building, in some sort of sports hall? Similar to the one we have in our school, where we do PE. Oh, and this is very important, the Ninjalinos are on high alert for you, and there aren't a few of them. Stay careful and hidden, alright?" Catboy updated the only person left that wasn't caught on their current situation and once again warned her to be safe. Nobody could blame him for doing that.

"Roger that Catboy," she replied after a few seconds, "I was following you this whole time and I'm really close. Just got to figure out a way on how to get in unnoticed though, considering what you just told me. And yes, I'm careful and cautious, don't worry. You guys hang in there, I won't be long."

He replied accordingly to her and nodded at Greg, who was looking at him the whole time when he noticed that Catboy was communicating with Owlette yet again, as a way to tell him that she was on her way and still unnoticed by the enemy.

Until she came, there was nothing that Catboy and Greg could do. The Ninjalinos were guarding the cage and there was no use in trying to break free from it, Catboy had already tried and failed in doing so. So they sat down, and waited. Waited for their teammate and best friend to come or Night Ninja to return with what he had planned for them.
