3rd Person POV
"Psh, Greg here, we're still on for tonight, right? Over.", the boy said into his walkie talkie. Even though it had been 8 years and every one of them had gotten a mobile phone, the trio still preferred to do it they way they had used to, communicating via their walkie talkies. Of course, using them was inconvenient at most times so they mostly used their mobiles, but they enjoyed doing it, just for fun.
"C here, I'm all set for tonight."
"What about you Amaya? You're coming tonight, right? I have a lot I want to talk to you guys about," the blonde added with a smirk. They haven't even met up again and he was already enjoying the teasing.
He heard something that was a mix between a frustrated groan and a whimper coming from the other end of the line, causing him to slightly laugh.
"Hey boys, can you hear me?", Amaya asked when she joined the conversation.
"Loud and clear Amaya," Greg replied, "you're coming tonight, right?"
"Mhm", she replied. By the shuffling the boys heard, they presumed that she was rummaging through something. "Usual time right?", she asked, referring to their usual 10.30pm meeting time at HQ.
"Yep", the other two replied.
The line went silent for some time, none of them knowing what to say next, before Amaya cleared her throat and said, "Alright guys, I'm gonna have to leave to continue my homework, see you tonight!"
Connor huffed and said, "Can't believe they gave us homework on the very first day of school!"
The others agreed with him before saying their goodbyes to continue said homework.

In the Land of Peace
"Nyx don't tell me you're still planning on going there...", Arinya said, nonchalant.
The cat snorted. "Duh."
"You never miss a chance to embarrass them do you?", Arinya huffed.
He only shook his head with a smirk present on his face.
"Nyx," Lionel interrupted another of their arguments, always being the peacemaker, "Why exactly are you going tonight?"
He waved a blue paw and said, "oh you know, just in case they have any questions and all that."
"And to tease them too?", the owl spirit animal said, saying it more like a statement than a question. Nyx grinned and nodded.
"So are you two coming or not?"
"Well, I don't see any harm in coming, and I don’t mind spending more time with Greg either", Lionel said thoughtfully.
Arinya sighed, "I'll come too then." At least she would get to spend more time with Amaya too.

In HQ
Around 10 minutes before the PJ Masks would arrive for their daily nightly patrol, the spirit animals teleported to their chosen's headquarters. They were greeted by PJ Robot, who was checking the security cameras around the city for any villainous activity.
"So PJ Robot", he beeped to show that he was paying attention, "we're going to hide somewhere in here to see what the PJs are going to do, don't tell them that we're here, okay?"
PJ Robot beeped twice to show that he understood his task.
"And you're doing that... for what?", Arinya asked, rubbing in between her eyes as if she had a headache.
