Dukes POV
It's the day of our senior prom and that means I have the perfect chance to score....that also means the shit heads don't have to keep it a secret much longer. I call them that but I really love them. Especially Mac. We've been together for 3 years now. I can't imagine my life without her. That's why I'm on my way to her parents house right now.

I pull up and quickly run to the door.

"Heather it's nice to see you! Heather isn't home yet." Her mother answers.

Actually I wanted to talk to you! I say nervously.

"Oh! Um. Sure! Come on in! Take a seat and I'll join you in a moment." She says.

I go and sit down. Soon after, Macs mother comes in. 

"So what is it that you'd like to talk about?" She asks with a warm smile.

I have no idea how I'm supposed to do this.

"Take your time, sweetheart"

Well...you know how much I love Mac.

"That has been established from the first day you two met." She smiles and gets excited talking about the topic.

I'd give anything to be with her. I'd really like to lock her in. Like, permanently. Does that make sense? I ask hoping it does.

"Not quite? Can you explain?" She asks confused.

I sigh. There's no way for me to put this...I want to ask your daughter to marry me.

"I" she starts but i cut her off.

Before you answer...I just want to ask her tonight. We don't have to plan anything until after graduation. Mrs. McNamara, your daughter is the only girl I dream of being with. Spending the rest of my life with her...It's an honor. If you'd let me have that honor. I promise to make sure she is the happiest girl alive. I ramble on and on.

"I thought you'd never ask! OF COURSE YOU CAN! YES! YES!" She says.

"Congratulations on being part of the prom queen court! Heather is really proud of you." she says.

Time passes.

Since I have the biggest car, I have to pick ALL of them up.

Starting with Heather because she lived closest. Then Veronica and JD who both look stunning. Finally, I knock on the door of heather McNamara's house. She opens the door and my jaw drops.

You- you look amazing. I stutter.

"Tell that to yourself." She says.  I kiss her and then I look into her beautiful brown eyes. Heather climbs into the front seat and honks the horn.

"GET A ROOM!" She teases us. JD is in the backseat practically crying from laughing so hard. So I decide that I've seen her long enough and that it's time to go.

so. JD...where's your skirt? I tease him.

"It didn't fit me! I asked if I could borrow Veronica's but my ass is too big." He teases right back.

"Ya know, I think you guys are the first group of girls to wear a blazer and skirt to a formal prom and totally rock it." He says.

Thanks to chandler here yeah.

A few more hours go by and Gowan calls attention to himself.

"I'd like to call the prom queen up to choose her partner!" He looks to me and nods. I walk past him and he whispers to me.

"Good luck kid. You've got this". My heart drops and I get nervous.

Hi. Um. I think this goes without saying right? The prom queen should choose someone who is beautiful. Someone smart. Someone exciting. I have that in my life. Heather come up here for a minute. I say. She walks up to my with a huge smile. I turn to her and take both of her hands in mine.

They say that the prom queens are always super entitled...but you...you're different. You are so kind. So thoughtful. The last 3 years of my life have been absolutely amazing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm not up here to choose a partner to dance with...I'm choosing a partner to spend the rest of my life with. I pull out a ring and then get down on my knee and look directly into her eyes. The school gasps.

McNamara's POV
I watch as Duke gets down in front of me. She pulls out a ring and I immediately start to blush.

"Heather McNamara, I want nothing more than to spend every single day of my life with you. But I can only do that if you agree to it. Will you marry me?" She asks.

My eyes fill with happy tears.

YES. YES ILL MARRY YOU! I shout.

She pulls me into a tight hug. Soon, JD, Veronica AND heather all join the hug. The school screams and shouts a series of "Awww" and "YAY"

I, Heather McNamara, fell in love when I was 15...and now...I'm getting married to the same girl that I fell in love with. Heather Duke.
