"Family" dinner

For our OG JD. Jack, who so desperately wanted me to make another Veronica x Heather C short.
Jack was JD for the first 3 performances of our zoom production of heathers the musical so I kinda owe this to him. You're welcome Jack. Hope you enjoy the "jell bar"

Setting: 1994 (5 years after high school)
Veronica and heather have been dating since senior year and now have a daughter named Chloe. (Isn't in the story other than mentioned a few times.)

Veronica Sawyer's POV
As The Heathers and JD are sitting in the living room in our small studio apartment, I hear them rough housing like kids. I turn off the stove and move over to the living room to make sure nobody breaks anything.

"Alright who started this." I ask with a small laugh.

"who do you think?" Chandler says with a laugh as she struggles to get out from underneath my ex.

"You're weak" he chuckles.

"No you!" She shouts as she pushes him off.

"Okay! Guys! Let's not break the tv. We just got that." I ask.

"Sorrryyy" they both sigh. The Heathers look at each other and chuckle.

"It's not funny I can hear you laughing" I smile to myself as I finish cooking. I set the table and call everyone for dinner.

"I thought I heard a crash. Was everything okay?" I ask. I watch JDs usual shit eating grin fade as he turns to heather with a look of "oh shit she knows" heather, giving him the same look back.

"Looks like somebodies sleeping on the couch tonight" Mac laughs.

"Mac shut up. I don't wanna die." Jason says sarcastically.

"Nobodies dying! Who broke what. I swear to god if you broke the tv you are sleeping on the couch." I put my palm to my head and sigh.

"I'll go get my pillow" Heather laughs.

"Dear god." I sigh.

"Guys. I had one kid. Not 4." I say.

"Who's the other 4?" Duke asks.

"YOU GUYS." I sigh again.

"You're lucky I love you guys like a family." I chuckle. Heather stands up and gives me a kiss.

"Still sleeping on the couch?" She asks.

"I'll think about it." I smirk.

"You're an idiot" Mac says as she's laughing uncontrollably.

"Idiot!" Chloe points at JD.

"Yes honey! Good job! Uncle JD IS an idiot." I laugh and then give both Mac and JD a look of "stop teaching my kid this shit"

I have to admit, chloe was adorable pointing at him like that.

After everyone leaves and heather and I clean up, we get into bed.

"I hope you know I was joking about the couch thing." I smile.

"I know. You wouldn't dare kick me out of the bed. Not gonna happen." She smirks and places a kiss on my lips before laying down beside me. I wrap my arms around her and lay my head on her chest. Within minutes, I'm asleep.
